Marick
Hey guys, I have followed the setup for using OpenSRS and have added the 55443 and 55000 ports to the incoming and outgoing TCP firewall rules in WHM. WHMCS is telling me however that the ports are closed: Registrar Error API Connection Failure. Please open ports 55443 and 55000 in your servers firewall. If I try to register a domain I get an error message that just says 'Error'. Nothing else is included. Any help would be great.

wsa
As your server provider I have a client of my same problem until he tell his server provider they open it
Dragonsys
it is probably blocked at the server level or datacenter level. You need to speak with your server provider, as htb suggested.
wsa
Yes it because it happened to 3 of my client that bought the Opensrs goMobi module
Allegheny
I have dedicated servers with Softlayfer. I have a ticket open with them and we have made sure the ports are open and even tried turning off the firewall - no luck. In my case - I had just moved servers and got a new IP address with the new server even though the site IP address stayed the same. I forgot that you have to add both the server IP address and the site IP address into the OPENSRS system before it will allow you to communicate. - I have to wait a couple of hours before I can test again. But I think that is my problem and might helps others too!

Allegheny
That fixed it! So anyone out there with this problem don't forget (as I did) to make sure the static IP address of the server (and the static IP of the site, if different) are added in your OPENSRS account under your profile by clicking the link "Add IPs for Script/API Access".
