joelie
Is there a way to disable the rich text editor that's used for email templates permanently? The issue is if I disable the editor, create a nice HTML email and save it, and then go back to edit the email again, the rich text editor is on by default and strips the html I entered previously I don't need the rich text editor but still need HTML capability.
joelie
Nevermind, I decided to change the way the template is constructed. The text editor obviously doesn't like you using your own html/head/body tags. The whole email templating system is fairly backward still - would be awesome if there was simply a header.tpl and footer.tpl for all system emails.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted June 24, 2011 WHMCS CEO Share Posted June 24, 2011 You can disable the rich text editor entirely by simply deleting or renaming the /admin/editor/ folder. Matt
joelie
That solution sounds fine to me Thanks Matt
nolageek
If we disable the HTML editor in this way will it behave the same way that disableing it via the button does? Will it also strip out line breaks? I hate rich text/HTML mail but we also need to have line breaks.
m8internet
What about entering your code directly into the MySQL database?
