HostinPK
I have a domain abc.com and I renamed its admin area from admin to xyz but after recent upgrade, both folders are working and opening admin area (admin, xyz). So, should I delete Admin folder or delete xyz??
tomdchi
I am guessing that you did not change the admin folder name from admin to xyz before you uploaded? If so then you need to upload the admin folder contents (from upgrade) to the xyz folder and delete the admin folder that was uploaded previously. Also make sure you have $customadminpath = "xyz"; in your configuration.php file
HostinPK
Actually, I upgraded whmcs from softaculous and before upgrade admin folder was renamed to xyz but after upgrade xyz exists as well as admin folder is created again. What should I do now?
tomdchi
Your going to need to ask that question to softaculous as it is the cause of your problem. I have no knowledge of that software but as long as you have file system access what I posted earlier should work. One thing that may make it easier is to delete the xyz folder and rename the admin folder xyz. Only do this is you have no custom admin templates. easyhosting
thats why i disabled the WHMCS script link in softaculous on my VPS. if a client has renamed his admin folder or any other customised work then using the softaculous script link you have no access to the folders to change these before unloading/upgrading if needed

HostinPK
Open a ticket. But I have not directly purchased whmcs from whmcs.com but from my server provider. So, how to contact whmcs.com?

HostinPK
http://whmcs.com/support.php I contacted WHMCS support and they helped me. I deleted old "xyz" folder and then renamed new admin folder to "xyz". Problem solved.
