Cheap Reliable VPS's

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Currently I am using reseller accounts, but after installing WHMCS and getting my new website up and running, I think I am going to make a good stab at a lot of marketing and getting a good few more customers this year.

I need to find a reliable, fully managed, 24/7 support VPS Server, which comes with cPanel/WHM.

Spec Required

768MB+ RAM Burst 1024MB

30-40GB Harddisk Space

Bandwith 300-500GB

2.4+ - 2.8GHz preferable.

Location - doesn't matter too much, I am from UK, but I don't think I will get a UK VPS for under 40/mon. If someone doesn find that, all the better :D

All for under 40GBP/mon OR $75/mon

(if it is paying yearly, I might be able to go dearer)

I know some of you will look at this and think, no way im I getting a VPS for that price but I hope someone here will know were to get good, reliable budget VPS's

-------

Another thing, I actually don't know all that much about servers.

What makes up a good VPS? e.g. size of ram, processor etc...

What would be a good VPS to hold say 60 - 100 accounts, so that they loaded quickly etc...

Post links to suitable websites and provide advice if you have any.

Thanks

Gregg

Hey,

If you are willing to pay $75 a month for a VPS server, their are companies out their that sell dedicated servers for those prices.

Me personally, I never recommend getting a VPS server. Your better off getting a good dedicated server and work from their.

Anyways, http://www.1and1.com sells them for around $30, but they don't offer cPanel and I never liked 1and1.com.

Their are a few users who posted about good VPS server companies on these forums. I forget the name of them (DefenderHosting or something like that).

Anyways if you are looking for a cheap server PM me and maybe we can work something out.

From,

Adam

I would beg to differ here, depending on the level of assistance / tech support you need, a vps can be the better option.

Also if your starting small and plan on growing, a vps can be the best option because adding more resporces is simple you dont need to migrate anytihing yourself. My company even offers you free one week trials of the next level.

I recommend servint.net and powervps.com

Been with servint.net for 2 years, started out small and now use one of their power vps'. Best move I ever made.
