Using WHMCS as a generic subscription tool

Question

Hi, I was considering using WHMCS as a generic subscription management tool. It seems to do all I need. The only minor issue is that many of the UI elements seem to have a "Domain" name hard-coded into the forms. Is there a way to remove this element? For examples, in the admin screen, when creating an order, it has a Domain field (although I made it not-required).. I'm still poking around the templates etc, but was wondering if any other customers use WHMCS for non domain related products and services.

Sure you can turn off that or edit the .TPL files to remove the fields. I dont use it for hosting or domain names and it works 100%

Thanks! That's good to know.. but I wasn't able to find the template file for the admin screen. For example the new order form within the admin screen.. Are all the admin screens based on templates? or mainly just the header, footer and dashboard?

Hi, have you looked in /admin/ and /admin/templates and beyond? The main admin screen is homepage.tpl depending on how you have your default settings, on mine it is in /admin/templates/v4 not sure about the order form but I believe almost everything is in there.
