webjive
As our business has grown, we are needing to automate more things. WHMCS has been a life saver but, I need to automate one more item; A parked domain creation upon new account setup. Why? We have a lot of clients who want to develop their site but not switch their domain until they are ready to go live. Since we use WHM/cPanel, this isn't a problem if you use mod_userdir to allow the client access to their account via the /~account method. The problem with utilizing mod_userdir is major security risks. With a parked domain, we can bypass this risk by creating a parked domain on the new account to a URL that has a DNS resolution. Example: account.web-jive.com (account is the new WHM account name) This way they can get to their website without resorting to the /~account mod_userdir method. I know this would be a pretty easy mod to hack but, I just don't have the time right now. Does anyone know if this feature is planned or if an existing addon could be modified to do this? Thanks!
