dytekllc
I am a little new to using the Ioncube Loaders. Is it required or necessary? Is there a way to load them on a Linux server without Root level access?
0 altomarketing
is it necessary , and you need root access to compile apache with ioncube, ask your hosting provider.
0 GGWH-James
If the server will allow dynamic loading, it may not be necessary to have root access to the server where WHMCS is installed. Generally speaking though, the ionCube Loader would be enabled by the Web host for the server as a whole. Have a look here, specifically, at the Loader Wizard.
0 dytekllc
It is MediaTemple DV. I tried the wizard and it wanted access to php.ini with root. I thought I could maybe do it using .htaccess ???

0 dytekllc
In case anyone else runs into this. I was able to fix it by adjusting the permissions on the php/sessions directory.
