ExsysHost
Thanks for the latest update, hopefully you are now working on airmail integration so we can receive notifications of new orderd and support tickets.... While the app is nice it is pretty much useless on android without notifications. Android has an excellent browser which allows us to access the whmcs admin interface just fine, so really ahwmcs without notifications is just a duplication of effort. Besides we cannot even approve orders through awhmcs because it lacks important information like fraud checks, so we end up having to open the browser anyway. Airmail will allow you to quickly and easily integrate notifications with awhmcs and it is already being used in several other industry apps such as the serverdensity android monitoring app. This would make it so only one app needs to be running in the background... airmail. And allow you to quickly deploy a working solution. -stephen
ExsysHost
Matt, can you please update the community if this is going to be a feature that is integrated soon? Others have expressed interest for this feature in other threads. Notifications are essential to providing timely replies to customers and activating orders when they come in. This is really going to be important as many start to adopt Android Tablets into their businesses. THanks, Stephen
WHMCS Ben
We can certainly look into this, but doesn't your Android phone alert you to new emails? As WHMCS should be emailing you already at your admin email address any time you get a new ticket or order to alert you to that.
ExsysHost
It does, along with the other 1000 emails each employee gets.... Serverdensity monitoring sends emails and so does pingdom website monitoring services, but they both made android apps that send push notifications, this way there is a distinct sound and icon in the notification bar that catches the employees attention. Also I believe android 2.2+ has push notifications built in with no need for airmail.
Jay
We can certainly look into this, but doesn't your Android phone alert you to new emails? As WHMCS should be emailing you already at your admin email address any time you get a new ticket or order to alert you to that. Sure it does, but this would make the app far more useful. Just a simple notification whenever a new order is received and when a support ticket is replied to, don't think the other ones are as necessary. The latest update to the app seems to have improved a lot of problems I had using it before, so well done and keep up the good work!
