zimt
Hi, I have several existing domains already registered for clients that I want to add to WHMCS. I found out that if I added them through the WHMCS user portal they work fine, however that means I have to log-in as that user which is a pain. Trying to add a domain using the admin back-end (either using orders> add new order) or from the client tab was causing me problems. What I found out is this - You DO NOT have to setup a "domain" product within products/services. The reason I thought this was the case is that when you create a new order from WHMCS admin backend you have both the product/service dropdown box as well as the domain box (where it checks the domain names for availability). I mistakenly thought BOTH of these fields needed to be complete for just a domain registration, hence why I was getting wierd double billing issues (as I had also setup domain as a product/service). So to summarise - If you want to register a domain, just leave product/service blank and enter the domain name. It will then pick the domain pricing up from setup>domain pricing menu. Hope this saves someone else some head scratching. Dean
