  1. Is there a script to automate this using just email registrar?
  2. Had a domain renewal email go out to a client and it shows as follows:- Dear xxxxx, The domain name listed below will expire in -734596 days. domain.co.uk - 02/04/2011 To ensure the domain does not expire, you should renew it now. You can do this from the domains management section of our client area here: http://www.zimt.co.uk/whmcs Should you allow the domain to expire, you will be able to renew it for up to 30 days after the renewal date. During this time, the domain will not be accessible so any web site or email services associated with it will stop working. Does the -734596 days get calculated from the expiry date and if so is there any way for this to be calculated automatically or to be set automatically to the same date as the next due date? Many Thanks, Dean
  3. Thanks - managed to sort out. Now having issues adding promotion codes to domains! Just found this:- http://wiki.whmcs.com/Promotions Assuming this still applies? SO to add a discount to a domain I just use price override in the admin section? Thanks, Dean
  4. Hi, I have several existing domains already registered for clients that I want to add to WHMCS. I found out that if I added them through the WHMCS user portal they work fine, however that means I have to log-in as that user which is a pain. Trying to add a domain using the admin back-end (either using orders> add new order) or from the client tab was causing me problems. What I found out is this - You DO NOT have to setup a "domain" product within products/services. The reason I thought this was the case is that when you create a new order from WHMCS admin backend you have both the product/service dropdown box as well as the domain box (where it checks the domain names for availability). I mistakenly thought BOTH of these fields needed to be complete for just a domain registration, hence why I was getting wierd double billing issues (as I had also setup domain as a product/service). So to summarise - If you want to register a domain, just leave product/service blank and enter the domain name. It will then pick the domain pricing up from setup>domain pricing menu. Hope this saves someone else some head scratching. Dean
  5. Just a quick question - I have set up domains using the "email" option, however under the client profile it only shows the domain under products/services and nothing shows under domains. Is the domains tab used for something separate? Many Thanks, Dean
  6. I didn't spot the email option in the domain registrars setup options. I think this is the way to go forward for now, and see how things run. If it ramps up i'll consider Nominet. Thanks for the quick replies everyone! Cheers, Dean
  7. Hi, Fairly new to WHMCS, have set it up and starting to use it. I am looking for WHMCS to handle automated invoice generation for domains and web hosting that I provide to my clients. As I am a UK based company 90% of the domains my clients use are .co.uk domains. I know I can use one of the supported WHMCS domain registrars (netearthone seems to get some good reviews) but is there any disadvantage to using a US company when 90%+ of my domains will be .co.uk domains? Alternatively I can register direct with Nominet, which I dont mind doing, but the 500GBP fee is putting me off slightly (domains/hosting are only a secondary part of my business). If I dont go this route and just stick with my existing UK domain registrar, can I just manually register domains in my usual way, and then invoice clients using WHMCS without the automated domain registration? i.e Do I just create a product called ."co.uk domain" and let WHMCS take care of the invoicing? Many Thanks, Dean Zimt Website Design
