Default Nameservers Bug or WAD?

Say (for example) I have two registrars.

  1. Enom
  2. Reseller Club

In the registrar setup (Setup > Registrars > Registrar Settings Tab ) I enter the relevant credentials details for each registrar (User name / etc) to enable interface to the registrar.

On the (Setup > Registrars > Other Settings Tab) there are facilities to enter the default nameservers.

I took this to mean that each registrar could have its own set of default name servers, but it appears not :(

Whatever I put in for the default name servers is then replicated in the other registrars name server setting screen!

This appears to mean that I can’t have different default name servers for each registrar.

Is this correct or is it a fault somewhere?

This seems a shortcoming because different registrars have different default name servers.

We run our own hosting name servers, and as you say, these change accordingly if hosting is provided.

However, to use some of the Enom facilities you have to use their name servers, and likewise to use some of the Reseller Club services you have to use their name servers.

Therefore it would be a great advantage that each registrar can have their own default set of name servers specified.

One for the Feature Requests I think!
