API: Creating ticket with file attachment supported?

jamesmr89

Question

Hi,

I'm in the midst of evaluating WHMCS, and while reading over the docs for the API, I noticed that there doesn't appear to be a mechanism to attach a file to an already created case, or to create a support ticket with a file attachment.

I'm just wondering if this is planned in the future or if there is a work around to accomplish this?

This functionality would be crucial for us. Please let me know the status ASAP

Hello

I am also looking to have this functionality. I am sure there is some way to do it. It has something to do with the last custom field.mentioned there, I have posted the question on WHMCS support, as soon as I get reply from them I will be posting it here for sure.

Thanks

Vaibhav

i hate file uploads the checks needed on the file are far too great for my liking, i prefer to just not have them there at all and if a screen capture is needed then they can email it to a multiple virus scanned email address.

I know trust is a key to any business relationship, but often files being uploaded are coming from an unknown entity, maybe its a very new client, you just dont know their intentions and ive seen the things that can happen with file uploads first hand right through a whmcs hack. its not a good thing to leave open no matter how many safety features you throw at it. at least a secondary isolated system for opening those emails can prevent network breach
