VO-AndrewG
Hello, When a client places an order and pays £45 over paypal, how comes I get lets say £43? How does that work? Is paypal adding hidden fees?
jeremyhaber
PayPal charges the merchant fees. About I know the Canadian processing fee is "2.9% + $0.30 CAD" I would assume the American fees are roughly the same. And before you ask, no you can't make your customers pay these fees. It is against PayPal's terms of service to charge the customer these fees. Hope that helps.
sohouk
If this is only with PayPal then it's probably the PayPal commission as mentioned before by Jeremy. You can check this because each transaction shows the gross amount paid, and separately, the commission. If it's with all methods of payment, then it's likely the product has pro-rata charging applied to it and unless its purchased on the exact day of the full cycle, will always show a discrepancy. othellotech
When a client places an order and pays £45 over paypal, how comes I get lets say £43 Because they (like very other payment provider) have taken their charges out before paying you. You did *read* how it works and the terms before signing up ?
