xpo123
Hi, I'm having issues at the moment with my hosting setup. Basically to cut a long story short I have developed a script which is used by 100+ clients. The client sites include the core files of the script rather than having a copy of the core files, so that any updates can easily be applied. This worked fine until my host changed some permissions or something, and they are now telling me the clients either need a copy of the files on their account, or they should be added as an addon domain name. Does anyone know of any way I can share the core files without installing the files on every single cPanel account? Would really appreciate any advice on how I could acheive this without massive changes to my current setup (WHMCS and cPanel WHM). Thanks in advance
JofleyUK
Use the Skeleton Directory function from within Web Host Manager. Eash reseller will have a skeleton directory : /home/resellerusername/cpanel3-skel/ In that directory create a "public_html" directory without the quotes, all files you want to share stick in that direcory. Everytime you create an account the files from that directory will be copied into the public_html on the new users account. Nifty enough. Hope it helps.
