dhollingworth
Hi I have WHMCS 4.3.1 set to allow the following file types as attachments to tickets: .gif,.jpeg,.png,.txt,.jpg and yet in a ticket I've received today I have the message: Attachment IMG00082-20101130-1307.jpg blocked - file type not allowed. I tried creating a new ticket with an image attachment and this worked fine. I then removed .jpg from the list of allowed file types and send a new ticket with an image attached and WHMCS said the image was blocked because the file type wasn't allowed. It looks like WHMCS is working OK so why did it block the image from my customer? BTW the customer image was sent from an iPhone, just in case that makes a difference. easyhosting
it may not be a true.jpg image, So WHMCS may not see it as such. see if the client had am images such as IMG00082-20101130-1307.ppl and see you dont allow these so they change this to .jpg, but it is still a .ppl images, so WHMCS will not accept this
dhollingworth
Does WHMCS actually test the file type against the file extension then? So if I rename a .doc file to a .jpg and send it in WHMCS will reject it? I did a test - I renamed a .docx file to .jpg and emailed it in as a ticket. WHMCS was quite content that it had got a .jpg file and didn't reject it. So it appears it doesn't care what type of file it is provided it has a .jpg extension.
