kokyew
I try to set the payment method of an account to "PayPal Subscriptions" and its due date is about 1 month from now (17 May 2007). Then I login as this client, click "My Hosting Packages", then "View Details", then the "Pay Now" button. Now I find that the recreate subscription function isn't working as what I have been expected. The subscription should be set in the way that there is about 30-31 of free days then pay recurringly. But in my case the customer needs to pay at the moment and the recurring billing starts immediately. In other words, there is no a1, p1 and t1 parameters in the form. Can anybody tell me what's wrong and how to fix this? Thanks.
Adam
Hey, No, this is how the PayPal Subscription works. Once they click the Pay Now button, thats the start of the subscription. So tell your client to click that button in one month, or give him some credit or make an invoice or something else... From, Adam
kokyew
It is weird then, I thought this feature is available in v3? According to the thread "WHMCS V3 New Features Preview" in the "News & Announcements" section: Added Recreate PayPal Subscription Button to Client Area - can be used by client at any time to recreate a PayPal Subscription for a Product/Service Ordered - automatically generates link to bill the user on the next due date - eg. 10 days free then $5 each month Sorry if I am doing anything wrong, it's much appreciated that if somebody can shed me some light.
PPH
I too thought it would work this way if you switched a customer from a different payment option, but it only appears to work for those that had signed up originally with a subscription. Might be a nice feature request if it is possible?

oempire
Matt Manually fixed this for me to. It brings me back to an old question, when matt makes these little individual fix, how can we make sure we are running it, and not just the people that noticed the issue.

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted May 9, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted May 9, 2007 Matt Manually fixed this for me to. It brings me back to an old question, when matt makes these little individual fix, how can we make sure we are running it, and not just the people that noticed the issue. You can't until the next release. There are many issues most people don't ever notice. Releasing a file every time a change is made would be both unecessary and difficult to do. There are multiple changes made daily to numerous files. Matt
