patrick24601
I have a new client that I've added manually recently in WHMCS for monthly hosting services. I had WHMCS send them their first invoice, they paid, and now they have a CC on file with me. They are signed up as a monthly client, and WHMCS issues an invoice. But WHMCS will not pay the invoice automatically from their CC. I have to log in as the client and pay the invoice for them using the CC on file. All of my other clients the monthly invoicing & payments work very smooth. What do I have to do to this client so his billing is automatic like everybody else's? Thanks
rkatz0
Hi, I had this issue before and am not sure exactly what the resolve was. I don't have it in my notes. Are you sure the Invoice and Due dates are exactly the same on this new client as the others that are successfully auto billing? patrick24601
Thanks. I wouldn't think that would be it as I thought those were global settings. I did dig deeper (why I didn't do it before I made a fool of myself publicly I don't know. ) It looks like somehow I had one of services set up as paypal even thought she paid her initial invoice with a CC. I fixed that. On the other one (there were two customers I found out) his billing date was set to the 3rd not the first. Thanks for the help.
rkatz0
Yay Patrick! That was the other possibility I had forgotten. The way that happens is the order is placed with Paypal option. They do not pay for the order initially. And then they pay for the order with credit card (or they just switch to credit card and pay) but the payment method remains Paypal, so the invoice is generated but does not pay automatically with the credit card on file, unless the method is changed. I actually use this for a client who does not want his credit card on file but insists on providing a new credit card each month (and yes one of those that would never log in and do it themselves). So I changed his method to Check and manually apply the new credit card when he provides it. Thanks for the memory jog! Regards,
