othellotech
Its great that Matt has started adding support for Email/URL forwarding, but the current implementation is pretty much unusable: * if client is buying a hosting service, or server or whatever, they dont want URL & Email forwarding, but option is still shown (its nonsensical) * incorrectly defaults to "yes" for email/url forwarding if no price (i.e. free) (yes I've seen the other forum post where people want that - so needs to be a config option) * still asks the user for nameservers - which if they supply will negate the forwarding * needs to be able to set a price for email/url forwarding for transfers separate to registrations - some people giveforwarding free on domains they register but charge for it if the domain is transferred. * needs to be more than a simple on/off, there are 6 different versions of forwarding service that we offer, all at different prices. * we dont all use the "registrar" freebies to do this - where does the client specify where they want the domain forwarded and where they want the email forwarded ? * on manage orders it doesnt specify that they ordered forwarding. Long term ther real requirement is to have "domain options" - items with all the same configuration possibilities as other products, but that apply to registration (new or transfer) only. This will allow for DNS Hosting, Forwarding, Whois protection, framed domain certificates etc etc etc

trine
I must have missed this post. Rob brings up very valid points, and we'd be very interested in this too. For the time being we are building out template around this, which disables it if they are using our hosting.
