codemaster2008
Here is the scenario: A customer placed a new order through whmcs shopping cartl. I have to accept the order, activate the product and cancel the first invoice, since he is a partner and and he will get the first year for free. What happend: a) Customer placed a new order (hosting account ) and selected "Annually" as payment term. b) I went to the "Orders" page and accepted the order c) On "Client/Products-Services" i changed the "Next Due Date" field to one year from now. d) On "Client/Invoices" I cancelled the invoice by clicking on the "Set Cancelled" button Everything looks fine however, the order is still set as "Incomplete", because no payment went through. So, what is the right way to give the user a 100% discount on the first payment if we feel like it?
b.ahmed
You can make a coupon code for him (to show 100% discount in invoice) and in WHMCS Admin area goto client products and details. Edit the first payment to ZERO. Now you have to edit the invoice. Edit the invoice according to the coupon code and discount applied.
codemaster2008
Looks like a lot of work for such a common task. Instead of a coupon, I manually added an item to the invoice with a negative value, so the invoice looks like this: Hosting Product: $400 Manager Discount: -$400 Total: $0 And even though the invoice total is $0 i still have to apply a payment to it (with amoun as $0 off course), which is weird but, looks like to only way to acomplish the task.
b.ahmed
Yes that's what i was talking about. But can you explain what are you trying to do? What do you exactly want to show your client?
