thenspdude Posted July 13, 2010 Share Posted July 13, 2010 After posting a partial refund on an invoice, I noticed that the daily sales tally was wrong. Turns out that WHMCS calculated that the entire PayPal fee would be refunded, and PayPal correctly calculated and sent the pro-rated amount. It's not a terribly big deal, as we don't use WHMCS tallies as our prevailing sales figure tally, but it appears to be a bug nonetheless. WHMCS CEO Matt Posted July 15, 2010 WHMCS CEO Share Posted July 15, 2010 Hi, The problem here is that PayPal's API doesn't return the amount of the fee that gets refunded if you do a partial refund and so WHMCS is never aware of the exact amount that goes back. We could have it guess at a %age based on the amount refunded compared with the total but with PayPal's fee structure that wouldn'be quite right either, just less obvious it's wrong that way.
