Topgun
Have a problem after upgrading to the new version 3.1.0 We uploaded all the files. And than I ran the upgrade file all went fine and than it asled to upgrade to 3.1.0 and I went and done it and than it said to remove the Install folder which I did and than I ran the order page and now it says as follows. --- Database needs upgrading - please upload the install folder --- So I put the folder back and now it wants to do a NEW install which I can do. So how do I correct it now?
DataHosts
Did you make a backup of DB and files prior to this upgrade? If so then I would restore the original and start over.

Topgun
Ok I have redone it now 3 times and get the same thing. You run the order page abnd you get. Database needs upgrading - please upload the install folder. The db was updated it said so, and told me to remove the install folder and we did so. Any one have any ideas out there what we could have done wrong or is it the up grade?
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted March 26, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted March 26, 2007 Sounds like you're going to need to have me take a look - open a ticket with control panel and whmcs login details.
joe123
All I have is the db sql file, I did what the instruction said to OVERWRITE ALL the files and we did and this is what we have now nothing. This is not a good idea , even it is in the instructions. next time do this. 1.Upload all your files to a new folder , name it whatever you want . 2.upload your modified templates if any 3.upload a copy of config.php to the new folder from the existing clients folder 4.rename your old folder to old_whmcs and rename the new one to where your license is (whmcs). 5.now run the upgrader and you are ready to go. This way if anything goes wrong , you can always rename the old_whmcs to your original folder and you have a working copy of your billing system.

Roger
I had the exact same issue. A re-upload seems to have corrected it. The first upload was via a zip then expand on the server. Second was by file.
