Auto cancel of PayPal Subscription on Auto Terminatation

Greetings,

 

Does WHMCS not automatically cancel the PayPal subscription associated with an account when that account is scheduled to be automatically terminated?

 

We had a request from a customer through WHMCS to cancel his service on 11 May 2010. The system cancelled his service and deleted his domains during the cron job at 12:01AM.

 

However, PayPal processed his subscription and applied his payment to last month's already paid invoice.

 

Thoughts?

Well I must say this first only because we process 300+ PayPal Subscription and because PayPal Subscription acts as a 3rd party gateway not connecting to PayPal systems via API or Express Payment The customer would be responsible for canceling any subscriptions that they no longer wish to pay for because WHMCS does not store the email address & password for the customer PayPal account it only stores the subscription ID number

 

But you as the merchant can just login to your PayPal account and cancel subscription payments form that customer and PayPal will then notify the customer that you elected to stop receiving payments
