Digit9
Free packages require a payment gateway? Is there a way to get around that? Also, how do I make it so users can ONLY choose subdomains with free packages? Grr, another thing, no payment gateways are showing when choosing a free package, even though it won't let me create an account without them.

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted March 16, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted March 16, 2007 No, there's no way around the selecting a payment gateway - all accounts must have a gateway - even free ones. And to allow a subdomain only you would need to edit your template. The code you would need to use is an if statement in the step 2 of the order process to check which product is being ordered and if its your free package then only display the subdomain option, else display all of them. reds
You could add a dummy gateway for free packages Matt which would just send back a "paid" response to prevent pending issues on free packages, couldn't you?
rpd
I must be missing something... I have payment gateways set up that are used for my paid products. I also have one free product set up (affiliate signup) but none of the payment gateways show up for it - and thus no one can order it since it needs that info for them to continue. Do I need to assign a gateway specifically to this free product and if so, how?
