MikeI
HI I'm currently running a trial of WHMC to see if it meets my needs and that I can get it to work with my setup. I have two reseller hosting services with two different companies. On my primary server where it has been installed, I am able to create cpanel accounts without any problem. On a secondary server (a reseller cpanel/whm account), I am unable to create any cpanel accounts. When I try to create an account I just get a timeout error message. * I have checked that the packages created are correct and match whm (even tried by just putting the package name in and nothing else) * Verified IP address * Verified login details I've spoken with the hosting company and they say that there is no problems on their end and said to try here for support. Any ideas of whats going on? Cheers Mike
othellotech
you're likely being blocked by your firewall or have misconfigured the 2nd server in your whmcs servers settings
MikeI
OK I've confirmed that the details on the primary server is correct by setting up whmcs on the secondary server and using the same details and successfully creating a cpanel account. So you the issue then lies with the communication between the two servers. * IP address has been confirmed as being correct * Hostname is correct For cpanel/whms accounts, is only port 2086 needed or is both 2086 and 2087 required? Anything else that may need to be opened or in place on my hosts for whmcs to work? Cheers M.
