Custom Client Area actions

Is anyone familiar with how to create custom client area actions?

 

I have been able to create a custom page for the client area, and it is accessible at

http://mydomain.com/whmcs/custompage.php

, but would prefer (for uniformity's sake) to access the page as

http://mydomain.com/whmcs/clientarea.php?action=custompage

I'm affraid that isn't possible. The action check is just coded in the clientarea.php file, which is encoded and can't be edited.
