Live Chat Addon

Recommended Posts

Hello Adam;

For this error, have you successfully run the install file? It adds important values into your MySQL database that the script requires to run.

If the installation was successful then please submit a ticket to our support desk referencing this issue and state your PHP version and MySQL version. As well please send me a phpinfo file to see your current php configurations.

To create a phpinfo file copy this code into a php file:

<?php

phpinfo();

?>

Regards,

Jeremy Haber

I got this error under installation too, then a tried to import sql files manually and now I get this error in admin area.

I am limited in assisting you on the forums here.

Since you are receiving errors throughout the system, I believe your version of PHP or MySQL is incompatible with this addon. In order to determine if this is in fact the case I need to have more information about your server.

At this time without further investigation I would recommend updating PHP and MySQL to the latest stable builds.

Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Jeremy Haber

Hello Grzesiu;

I can assure you that the addon does work with the renamed "admin" directory! I have personally seen it work with custom admin directories.

The issue you are having is not related to a custom admin directory. Please contact me through support tickets and we will resolve your issue.

Regards,

Jeremy Haber

Hello Grzesiu;

How are you accessing the addon?

Are you directly going to {WHMCS DIRECTORY}/modules/admin/live_chat? And are you talking about the admin folder under modules? If so this is not the way to access the addon and it will not work correctly.

To access the module go into the WHMCS admin area and go to "Utilities" -> "Addon Modules" -> "Live Chat"

To make sure everything displays properly make sure that you copy everything out of the admin folder in the addons zip file into your customized admin folder.

Let me know if I can further assist you.

Regards,

Jeremy Haber

Edit: You may have some-how downloaded an older version please contact support to get a link to the most recent version to be sure.

You are correct.

I have double checked everything to verify you situation. It appears that the problem you have is occurring. The files that you have are an out of date version to my my local copy. I am re-encoding the files right now with the most up to date version.

Please contact support for a link to download the newly encoded version.

Thank you for helping to identify the issue.

I have now implemented this Live Chat Module.

I spent a couple of hours with Jeremy onine last night to iron out a few bugs but have to say it integrates very nicely and after the few bugs that we have now sorted it works lovely.

Easy to integrate and easy to use.

It is easy to quickly view the clients existing account details, and link to their profile direct from the module itself.

I am very happy with this and the new version that is on its way looks very impressive.

I can certainly vouch for Jeremy in terms of support. I asked for support on two occassions and within seconds Jeremy was connecting and helping me through.

Excellent Product - Excellent Support - Nice Guy!

Thanks Jeremy

Hey Guys and Gals;

Version 1.5 is now available in the WHMCS Addon client area.

This version fixes the issue that a few people have been experiencing regarding the PHP function "mysql_result". Among that it also addresses a few other issues and increases efficiency of the addon itself.

Best of all the addon is still completely FREE for everyone to use. There are no charges, no ads, and no gimmicks!

What are you waiting for? Give it a try!

Get it here! Absolutely FREE!

Hello tlhoward;

Please contact me through the WHMCS Addon support area. If possible send me a link to a phpinfo file.

This file can be created by creating a new php document and inserting the following code:

<?php

phpinfo();

?>

We will get you up and running!

Regards,

Jeremy Haber

P.S. There is a correction to be made on my last post. The latest version of this addon is version 1.36 not 1.5.

  • 2 years later...

Hello!

I downloaded the Live Support/Live Chat Addon from here: http://whmcsaddon.com/products/live-support. I believe this version is 1.62.

I believe I installed it successfully, as that's what the screen said after I ran the install script. I then went to my WHMCS admin area and activated and configured the Live Chat and Live Chat Settings Modules.

I followed the instructions in the Install Read Me.txt file and the Go Online.txt file. But when I go to Addons > Live Chat I get a blank white screen that only says "Live Chat" at the top left corner; nothing else on the page at all. There is no online/offline button on the lower right.

I am using the latest version of the Chrome and Firefox browsers and it doesn't show in either browser.

I am using the latest version of WHMCS - 5.2.5.

Any assistance anyone can provide me in getting this set up properly and working fully would be greatly appreciated. I need this chat feature deployed on the site by tomorrow.

Thank you kindly!
