You can expect to see it within the next few months. More information will be revealed closer to the launch date of the application. The major functionality and advantage of the application being notifications. My suggestion will be frequently look for updates on this software. msaunders Posted April 7, 2010 Share Posted April 7, 2010 Yep , we are currently using a desktop application from another provider and although it doesn't integrate with WHMCS , I wont be changing to a browser based chat application anytime soon. The application will be adding a lot to the server scripts as well; very exciting functions are coming out because of the application version itself. The additions and improvements are going to be the envy of all the WHMCS live chat addon's out there. The admin area is getting revamped bringing more organization, functionality, and efficiency. We are also trying to reduce the stress any live chat software can make on a server for highly trafficked support desks. This is going to be the best release yet. Well the concept design is done. I would truly appreciate your input on this design. What do you think would make it more practical to use? How would you do it differently? Does it seem easy to use without instruction? Any input is good input, your comments are always welcome. You also may remember me talking about reducing server stress. The tests for server stress reduction are coming and we hope to see positive results. I will personally let you know the results of these tests once the data is conclusive. This version will give you the ability to use the chat API. This API is being developed to allow 3rd party development and for the ever exciting GUI Application coming later this summer. You will be seeing some amazing performance increases in the software. It gives you complete control of what is being displayed on your website. This allows you to use multiple images and/or text for your online or offline images. jeremyhaber Posted June 4, 2010 Author Share Posted June 4, 2010 Hello jameshsi; Before the addon will let you go online you should verify that the proper settings are set throughout WHMCS and the addon. Check that you have your departments set to "viewable". This will let the system know that you want the department of choice to be selectable by your clients. You can do this by going to the "Live Chat Settings" page. To find this page go to your WHMCS Admin Area.-> Hover/Click on "Utilities".-> Click "Addon Modules".-> Click "Live Chat Settings" Now scroll down the page and till you find "Department Configurations". Once there you can select the departments that can be viewable by the end user. While there also select your primary department that you want users to default to. And click save. Check that your operators can use the specific departments in WHMCS. To do this go to the administrators settings page in the setup menu.-> Hover/Click on "Setup".-> Click "Administrators". Edit yourself or another administrators that can not bring live chat online. Verify that the administrator has the departments assigned under "Assigned Departments". If not assign the administrator the departments of choice. Once Assigned hit save. Lastly set yourself online. This can be done through the "Live Chat" addon module page.-> Hover/Click on "Utilities".-> Click "Addon Modules".-> Click "Live Chat" Once there you can click the offline/online button on the bottom right to go online. If you cannot see this button then it is suggested you upgrade your browser. The admin area is best viewed in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Internet Explorer may have issues displaying such a button do to fixed positioning. You should now be online. If the problem persists please contact support through your account with us. This is done to protect the code from being edited and resold. If you absolutely need an decoded version please contact me through the support area. It adds important values into your MySQL database that the script requires to run. If the installation was successful then please submit a ticket to our support desk referencing this issue and state your PHP version and MySQL version. As well please send me a phpinfo file to see your current php configurations.
