.gs and .ms WHOIS server ?

Hello All:

 

The present WHOIS search in WHMCS 4.1.2 for .gs and .ms domains does not work.

 

Anyone knows a working solution ... I tried below (found these on other forums, but none of these works):

 

.ms|whois.adamsnames.tc|is not registered

.ms|whois.adamsnames.tc|not registered

.ms|whois.nic.ms|Status\: Not Registered

 

(same for .gs)

 

In WHMCS this can be edited at:

.../WHMCS-INSTALL/includes/whoisservers.php

The whois server for .gs is whois.coccaregistry.net. .gs has migrated to CoCCA Registry.

Well, you are saying "whois.coccaregistry.net" is the new WHOIS server? And if so, what is the "match string"???

 

I have now tried the following changes in :

.../WHMCS-INSTALL/includes/whoisservers.php

(after upgrade to WHMCS 4.2.1) -- and they do work SOMETIMES:

 

.ms|whois.adamsnames.tc|is not registered

CHANGED TO ==> .ms|whois.nic.ms|Not Registered

 

.gs|whois.adamsnames.tc|is not registered

CHANGED TO ==>.gs|whois.nic.gs|Not Registered

 

.tw|whois.twnic.net.tw|No found

CHANGED TO ==> .tw|whois.twnic.net|No found

Yes, the match string is "Not Registered"

Also CoCCA have a Whois Query Limit. If you are a registrar, you can request to have your IP whitelisted for whois.

And for .ms it's the same whois server, that is whois.coccaregistry.net.
