Moving Domains imported from MB

Recommended Posts

I used the ModernBill import script and it worked great. The problem we are having is that the domains registered through MB were imported as a regular package into WHMcs. How can I move the domains from the Products/Services tab over to the domain tab to be managed?

That shouldn't have happened. However, it's not possible to move a product like this. You will need to delete the product/service and run a new order for the client for domain registration only to add the domain.

I guess the biggest problem is that it is going to hit our enom account and try to transfer a domain that is already there. Is there a place in the database where I can associate everything so as not to generate a new order for an existing client? It really causes a lot of confusion when new orders are generated.

No, it won't - unless you specifcally tell WHMCS to do this.

Just my .02. I've found it much easier to add existing domains directly into the database. Using the "new order / transfer" method is cumbersome, mainly because it requires a "transfer secret" to be added, which means logging into eNom (or other registrar account), sending an EPP key for each domain you want to transfer, etc.

EDIT: I just found that even though there's an error, it is possible to continue with the domain order and just ignore the "you didn't enter the transfer secret, etc" error messages.
