Invoices with paypal subscrptions

Hi,

Ive searched through but couldnt find a definative up2date answer.

Theres actually 2 questions.

1. Subscription Invoice Receipts Tick to create invoices for subscription payments when received. Its in the general config under the invoices tab.

-- What exactly is this option. The way i read it, am i to assume when a customer uses Paypal subscription, an invoice each payment term isnt created by default? How are we meant to track which payments are coming up, (other then the payment failed email from paypal)

What im trying to work out essentially comes down to, each transaction i would think needs to be tied to an invoice(whether the invoice is sent to the customer or not). This "invoice" needs to be generated before the date the paypal subscription is due to take payment

2. Matt sent me a paypal file that i can put inplace of my old modernbill callback file, to ensure existing paypal subscriptions created under modernbill continue to function. Ive read a conflicting method on these forums.

There was a post

whmcs.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2444&highlight=ipn which seems to state i can just add the WHMCS callback file in PayPals IPN area and add the subscription ID to the cust, and it should pick up existing subscriptions (even if created in modernbill?)?

Thanks, im sure once i get these small issues worked out will be good to go.
