I want to make sure i understand the process correctly. Someone goes to my site signs up for 1 of 3 packages. They pay for a year and then before the next year comes they get notices about renewing their domain. If they don't pay for their renewal does the account go away in the WHMCS on it's own? Does the site they have setup in the WHM go away?

The hosting account would be suspended and then removed further down the track depending on your automation settings.

The domain if not renewed will no longer work after the expiry date. The customer would then have a further 30 days to renew the domain until it then gets a pending delete status for I think is 60 days and then finally removed completly from your registrar. Note that this domain will not be auto removed from your WHMCS.

Also to add that for the cx to get the domain back can be 100 plus, when it's in its delete status. A lot of times if the domain is a good one and they where getting traffic to it, I'll buy it for a year and point it to mine.

I appreciate the info but I am not sure how the hosted account would be suspended. I do understand that hosting needs to be renewed yearly. But, if I create the client in my WHCMS there is really nowhere in there that point his account to the setup I have in WHM.

The client would have a product attached to their account and that product would be setup using the cPanel server module. The server module is the part the either creates, suspends, or terminates the WHM hosting account.
