Quick Question regarding Domains

Possibly a dumb idea, but my boss would like to bring a little bit of /admin functionality to the client area, specifically to allow the client to set their domain with a text box like you can in a clients products/services tab in the admin.

 

Are there specific API hooks I can dig into to bring stuff like that around? I haven't found anything in the Wiki yet, but i'm still looking.

I don't know of a way off the top of my head. But I do agree with you. That does not sound like a good idea at all. There could be a potential for that being abused.

Would it be a custom client field though? The functionality already exists within the system, I'd just like to utilize it in a different way.

Oh it's bound to be, but I just figured I'd ask. I think my boss just wants to be lazy. Though if it was there, and only available if you're an admin logged in to a client account, that could be handy too.

 

But again, lazyness.
