cpes
Hello, we use WHMCS with ENOM registrar module. We have problems renewing .EU domains. WHMCS says: "Client ID 123 has paid for the renewal of domain some-domain.eu and the automated renewal attempt has failed with the following error: This domain cannot be extended." Anyone else with the same problem?
openmind
It's not WHMCS, it's eNom. The domain needs to be renewed 30 days before it expires.
HostRW
As far as I know .EU domains need to be set to automatic renewal with ENOM. They cannot manually be renewed. Here is what they say in their help section about .EU renewal: In order to renew .EU domains, they must be set to Auto-Renew = ON. The automatic renewal will process 30 days prior to expiration provided that there are funds available on the account. The domain will be renewed for a one year. Due to registry restrictions, manual renewal of .EU domains is not possible. If your domain has already expired and you cannot set the Auto-renewal setting, please submit a ticket and we will attempt to do it manually.
cpes
Then it would be nice that WHMCS Enom API would set .EU domains to auto-renew via API. That would automate renewal process.
equiphase
When I see that a .eu renewal has been paid and I get the error message, I log into enom, set the domain to auto renew, and then add a to-do into whmcs remaining me to switch off auto renew after 30 days. This could be time consuming if you have lots of .eu domains but for me this works.
