RPS
That's not even close to being intuitive for the end users. Sorry, not simple. I doubt you knew to do that without having to look up the issue on here.
EasyWHMCS
That's not even close to being intuitive for the end users. Sorry, not simple. I doubt you knew to do that without having to look up the bug on here. I have customers so didnt need to still be here complaining 5 days in It is very simple, You go to the top You click on Orders then Place new orders
RPS
Sorry Liam, I don't think I can be anymore clear about my point. The issue isn't with how to fix it, but around the fact we need to place an order at the start of the new year to remove the error message. I have customers so didnt need to still be here complaining 5 days in - Quality over quantity for us.

Well what else do you exspect whmcs to put there? you cant have a script pull something from a database when there isnt anything in the database Matt made a announment on this forum about how to remove the message As Matt says this is NOT a bug. - Quality over quantity for us. We can do both
RPS
Well what else do you exspect whmcs to put there? you cant have a script pull something from a database when there isnt anything in the database - I would expect some proper error handling. When the data isn't available, don't display a big error message on the admin home page. There is absolutely NO point whatsoever to display an error message. All you need to do is supress the error, because (1) the end user doesn't know what to do when the error comes up (2) nothing happens by having the error When you bring up the Valid Quotes page, do you see a big error message come up saying the data for quotes is not available? No, you don't. You see a nice "No records found" message. Does that make any sense at all?

(2) nothing happens by having the error When you bring up the Valid Quotes page, do you see a big error message come up saying the data for quotes is not available? No, you don't. You see a nice "No records found" message. Does that make any sense at all? What would you like the error to do ? Dance on a table in front of you ? Come on, Matt can spend his time alot better than fixing a non bug because your not using common sence!
coredata
I agree RPS. Sorry Liam, you aren't making much sense here... If it was common sense to know why this error happens, I doubt this thread would have been so popular.

Its simple you and your staff saw the graph WHO CARES.... I have been here ALOT just to laugh at the dumb things people are whining about... It would be different if customer saw it.... the deal is that while 0 is a number NULL is not thats the simple issue.... damn arrays just dont like NULL
JofleyUK
omg!! Tell me you are joking kiddies. It's in the Admin area. WHO THE HELL ELSE is going to see it only you!! Why the hell have you had no orders anyways, it's like the 6th of January. And if it's a resold license. Explain the old Division by ZERO to them and they will leave you alone!! WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 6, 2010 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 6, 2010 I think it's probably time we closed this - sorry to spoil the fun To sum up: There was a warning message showing when the 2010 year's order data was completely empty (due to no orders for the year). Was it ideal? No Did it cause any actual problems? No Will we look into it so by 2011 the same doesn't happen again? Yes (as posted earlier in this thread) Matt
