Taking a moment to review WHMCS!

Hi everyone,

I recently stumbled upon a post from a newly-developed web hosting billing system on WebHostingTalk. The developer of the product claims that it is "better than WHMCS" (for lack of better terms)... Being curious, I tried it out, and was shocked to see how many basic features it was missing!

I'm sure there's not much doubt in regards to the power of WHMCS around here, but for any outsiders considering WHMCS, I want to take a moment to express my thoughts on the software. The fact is that without it, my business would not nearly un-manageable with such a small staff! As any software that has been around for a while, whmcs has a very very long list of powerful, useful functions - there's literally an option for anything you may want to accomplish with your billing/support software (at least as far as we're concerned). Yet, it is also very affordable, has accessible support - unlike some mega-software corporations - and is easy to use for both the customer and the staff/admin.

We tried other similar products on the market before we decided to keep WHMCS - just to get a feel of what's out there - and none of them could do everything we needed (at least without heavy modifications and custom modules).

Bottom line - while I wish the best of luck to all up and coming software developers, we're sticking with WHMCS for now!

Happy holidays!

- An appreciative WHMCS customer
