basic
Hello All: We just signed up with the domain reseller hexonet.net (German company, offers around 200 different TLDs, especially useful for country TLDs). WHMCS 4 now has a module for them. I wonder if anyone else here is using them. It's just that (a) we have some problems with the setup in their control panel -- specifically the settings in: Manage Account > My Settings (again, this is in the hexonet.net control panel, not in WHMCS). And (b) they do not seem to have any forum of their own. Maybe we could use this thread to discuss related questions? Thanks. John
Milliment
I have been speaking to Hexonet about there api module for WHMCS and after alot of workings out on how to intergrate there Trustee service into the system, What the idea is to sugest to WHMCS to add the option for additional options that can be charged by or make it domain registrar specific. I.E if you select hexonet a new colom will apear next to epp with a tick box and a field to put the price of the EPP code. Anyway im almost finished the the additionaldomainfields.php to be compatible with all of Hexonets available domain names and will upload if here for everyone to use, if thats ok with WHMCS anyway Anywho i must say Hexonet is one off the best domain providers around
basic
Thank you Milliment. That would be most welcome! I just started to use them, and am not really sure what's "missing" to work flawlessly with them. But some things are missing, and it seems you found a way already in working this out with the support from Hexonet. So, yes, would be great if you could share that. Do I see this right? It is not possible to (a) *create* nameservers using the Hexonet control panel, and (b) it is not possible to create hostrecords, using the registrar's own nameservers (e.g. in order to do a "redirect" or "frame redirect" of a domain)? I am mostly used to eNom, where that is easy to set up. Best, John What the idea is to sugest to WHMCS to add the option for additional options that can be charged by or make it domain registrar specific. Milliment
its all through the dns records to creat a custom Named server record you should do a cname and direct it at the ip addresses you want, im pritty sure it is anyway, If not then you should contact there customer service team, they are amazing guys who are dedicated to the help of its customers. there is also an online demo of there API which is quite usefull http://cp-ote.hexonet.net/?l=MAIN%3Aproducts%3Adomains%3A*%3A*%3Aadmin%3Amanage%3Alist&dnszone=00000000000111111111111.com But as i said they are working on a new version of the WHMCS hexonet API so some new things will be comming soon, If you are doing the trustee service seperatly what i would sugest doing is this ########################### In the new additionaldomainfields file will be a dropdown menu for trustee service with the cost that hexonet have stated on there website (You can change the charge freely) Once the registration has gone through and if you are auto registering domain names you will be contacted by hexonet saying that these things are needed for the registration to be compleated. login to WHMCS and go to the clients profile and select billable items. Enter whatever discription you would like to add to it and bill when you whant to bill it. Go to hexonet and compleat all the stuff that is needed and wala done. Well thats how i am doing mine at the moment Hope this helps Anthony
basic
That really sounds like what is needed, Anthony. So, if you get you right, then such WHMCS control panel add-on will be very soon available, yes? (Maybe I should just contact Hexonet to get it, if they have it already in beta.) Thanks again! basic
Hi Milliment: We just had a brief response on this from Matt (WHMCS), in a ticket. But my impression is that they are at this time not at all working on anything that regards Hexonet. The add-on you referred to, is that a custom order? Milliment
Yes it was developed by hexonet wich connects to there white lable API, i am currently testing it i will ask if i can upload it or if they intend to send it to WHMCS,
maara
why use hexonet ? They are very expensive - not worth to signup unless you have hundreds of domains..
basic
I think you know the answer already, not? Their international TLDs (for example .nl, .de, .lu, .ca, .at, .pl, and so on) are not expensive at all. You may not want to use them for .com or .net domains, but for international ones they are great. Also, their support, if needed, is extremely helpful and friendly.
