  1. Hi, I can't find documentation regarding the writing of custom SSL provisioning modules. Is such information available? It looks like the layout of the SSL workflow has changed recently, with new "E-mail" (and presumably "HTTP" and "DNS") validation headings appearing, instead of a simple list of textual options. I have an old custom SSL module that I am trying to maintain and convert to support this new UI. Many thanks, Owen
  2. Hi, Since upgrading to WHMCS 6.3.x, I notice the new markdown editor in the admin control panel support ticket reply page has an annoying "feature" whereby when you alt-tab (or otherwise change focus) away from the browser and back again, the cursor/caret is positioned at the end of the text (after signatures, etc). The old editor, and pretty much any other text box on the web, keeps the cursor where it was before. Given I'm often switching out to copy over bits of information, this is proving quite frustrating! Is anybody else seeing this problem? I'm using Firefox 47 on Windows if it makes a difference. I've not tried any other browsers yet. Cheers,
  3. This is using the mass mail tool, although I've also noticed it with the general mail tool for individual clients, and I think occasionally even in product welcome e-mails and so on. Basically it may potentially happen in any e-mail that WHMCS sends out. I can upload samples showing what I'm talking about if desired.
  4. Hello, I've noticed an issue when sending out HTML e-mails, in that sometimes very long lines will be generated which will get wrapped incorrectly, resulting in newlines being inserted in the middle of words. In an e-mail I just sent out to clients today, for instance, the line appeared to be wrapped at the 991st character. In one e-mail, this resulted in the word "these" turning into "th\n ese". In another, "extensions" became "exte\n nsions". (Both had a space after the newline, for some reason). Is it possible that WHMCS could manually wrap HTML e-mails at a more appropriate position? For what it's worth, could the same be done with text e-mails too, at least as an option (possibly with "format=flowed" set)? According to traditional e-mail standards, lines shouldn't be more than 80 characters wide. If nothing else, at least the ability to wrap HTML e-mails (which should make no difference to the end user) so that I don't end up with br oken wor ds would be nice! Thanks, Owen
  5. It appears to have been added in 5.x. For some reason, I started noticing incorrect instances "there's + plural" just generally a few months ago, and now it seems I can't go anywhere without noticing people making that mistake and it bugging me... my brain annoys me sometimes!
  6. Hello, I noticed a very minor (but annoying, to me!) error on the public "server status" page (serverstatus.php). The $_LANG['serverstatusheadingtext'] string states: "Below is a real-time overview of our servers where you can check if there's any known issues." It should, of course, read: "Below is a real-time overview of our servers where you can check if there are any known issues."; I've fixed this on my own installation, but it would be nice if it could be fixed in WHMCS itself for a future release, so I don't have to update it myself. Thanks, Owen
  7. I posted this in the general V5 discussion thread, but it seems this is a more relevant place: Possibly this has been brought up somewhere in the past week or so, but I'd also like to note an issue here. I like the PayPal Express Checkout option, but I've currently disabled it because enabling it results both in the PayPal-provided logo appearing (which is good) and "PayPal Express Checkout" appearing as a radio button option alongside 'normal' PayPal (which is bad). The latter is particularly bad because, when you click on 'Express Checkout' to pay, it gives you an error, as the previous poster here mentioned. I tried unticking "Show on Order Form" to see if that'd remove the radio buttons but leave the icon on the signup form, but that didn't happen. Is it possible to have this module only display the icon, and not any other reference - or alternatively to merge it into the default PayPal module, whereby clicking the radio button would just send you through the normal PayPal (or PayPal Subscribe) process? Having a "PayPal Express" option that doesn't work is unfortunately a bit confusing here. To make things clearer, I've attached a few screenshots: express1.png - this one works, it's the PayPal Express logo, and is fine express2.png - this shouldn't show up at all, in my opinion. It doesn't work. express3.png - this also shouldn't show up. It also doesn't work. Thanks!

  9. It appears there is now the possibility of manipulating DNS records via the API directly: http://manage.resellerclub.com/kb/answer/1091 Is this something we may see in a future version of WHMCS? Thanks, Owen
  10. While it is apparently not possible to modify the DNS via an API, it is possible to display a custom-branded DNS management window, that only supports those DNS features. The appropriate API documentation appears to be here: http://manage.resellerclub.com/kb/answer/954 It just needs to be set up as a POST query, but you first need to generate an auth token with this API. Would it be possible to implement this feature into the ResellerClub plug-in? It would be very handy to be able to tell people they can modify their hosted DNS by clicking a button in WHMCS, rather than having to try to make them go through the full ResellerClub interface, which we'd rather avoid. Thanks!
  11. Hello, I'm potentially interested in switching from ClientExec 3.2.3 to WHMCS. However, we have a fairly substantial ClientExec installation that has been active for many years, so a migration is quite an undertaking. I've been playing around with the converter a bit, and have a few questions and concerns: 1. I have a substantial number of customers with PayPal subscriptions already set up. It would be unacceptable to have to cancel those and ask the customers to set up new ones. Is there a way to keep the subscriptions active in such a way that they'll update the appropriate customer records? I do notice a "subscription ID" section in the products/services page, which I imagine I could manually enter, but the subscription would still be calling the old PayPal callback script - is there some script I can use to "forward" those requests to the correct WHMCS location? 2. ClientExec package add-ons don't get imported. While I can set these up manually again, it's a bit of a pain. Also, relating to question 1, if I were to replicate the add-on structure in WHMCS, and reassign all the customers to their appropriate add-ons, would the PayPal subscriptions still manage to credit everything correctly? 3. For some reason, a handful of domains are not being imported from ClientExec. The majority do seem to be, though. Is there anything in particularly that is likely to cause this? 4. While my packages are all imported, none of the actual billing information is - eg, how much to charge monthly, annually, etc. This can be set up manually, but it's obviously somewhat inconvenient to have to do that. Is it possible to add support for that? The same does for domain extensions, etc. 4. Support tickets aren't imported. This is something that's obviously known about, and I might try to write an importer for those myself. (I'd be happy to offer it up for official inclusion if so, of course.) My main concern is that we want to minimise downtime while switching over between the two systems. While many of these issues can be resolved manually, it would take many hours of work to ensure every customer's data is correct. Ideally, we'd be able to get general settings, plug-ins, templates and so on configured beforehand, then import all customer data, and have a brief period of downtime while verifying everything, rather than several hours or even days while having to reenter each user's add-ons, fill out multi-year pricing for each of our ~30 TLDs, input PayPal subscription data for hundreds of customers, check for missing domains, and so on. Is it likely that it'll be possible to address any of these issues? Thank you, Owen
