  1. Yes, exactly. Thats actually better that having one shared hostingpackage for all domains, as this will give the option for further development, like an option for clients to administer the DNS within WHMCS.
  2. I'll bet the optimal way to go is to have one package (Named _ParkedDomains or something), and when a customer parks a domain, whmcs uses an api to add the domain as a parking on this account. Then some sort of automation to remove domains that are cancelled or ordered with hosting. Do you mind sharing your hook? I'll bet there is more people here that may be can develop it further
  3. If anyone else need the same thing..
  4. Hi, We are going to migrate two WHMCS installation to one. How should this be done? Should we create a new installation, add all customers manually, add the transaction on every customer, then add the product and set the correct due dates and registration dates? Or should we migrate the one installation to the other installation? Same as above, but only doing it with one installation. Or is there another better way? Both system use the same client ID, invoice ID and product ID, so e.g. product #1 isn't the same at installation 1 and 2. I appreciate any help regarding this matter!
  5. This is also something we need to know about when implementing EPP system for .no registrations. Norwegian domains (.no) must also resolve to a valid nameserver for registration to go through.
  6. Ok, i tried that now and copied the result to Notepad. Length: 319679....... I tried searching for "clientsdetails" and i got two results inside here: But it looks like it is only showing exactly what i (you) wrote in the php script. This is the script i used: <?php require_once ("includes/clientfunctions.php"); if ((isset($_SESSION['uid'])) && ($_SESSION['uid'] > 0)) { $userdetails = getclientsdetails($_SESSION['uid']); $firstname= $userdetails['firstname']; echo "<strong>Hello $firstname! You are logged in.</strong> <a href=\"/logout.php\">(Click for Logout)</a>"; } else { // not logged in } var_dump($GLOBALS); ?> This was without including dbconnect.php, as if i do, I get the Down for Maintenance message.
  7. Maybe this have something to do with my problem? http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=40012
  8. Thanks for your reply. When using this code, i still get the Down for Maintenance message. When removing "require_once ("dbconnect.php");" I get the logged out message. If var_dump $GLOBALS can help understand whats wrong, how to i write that in a PHP code? When using: <?php var_dump $GLOBALS ?> I get this message: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /home/path-to-home-area/core/cache/includes/elements/modsnippet/44.include.cache.php on line 10 Witch is a part of MODX
  9. Hi, I'm trying to get a integrationcode to work in MODX. What I'm trying to accomplish is: If user is logged in = Show some links, etc. If user is logged out = Show loginform. I have tried so many scripts from this forum, but i cant really get anyone to work. With the last one, i have actually got the integration halfway correct i think. The problem is that i get the standard whmcs "Down for Maintenance - Upgrade in progress" message. This is the code I'm trying to use: require("dbconnect.php"); if (!empty($GLOBALS['clientsdetails']['id'])) { require_once ("includes/clientfunctions.php"); $userdetails = getclientsdetails($GLOBALS['clientsdetails']['id']); } $firstname= $userdetails['firstname']; if ($_SESSION['uid'] > 0) { echo "<strong>Hello $firstname! You are logged in.</strong> <a href=\"/logout.php\">(Click for Logout)</a>"; } else { echo "Login form is put in here"; } So: 1. Anyone have a clue on how i can resolve this? 2. Do i really need to include dbconnect.php, when both MODX and WHMCS is in the same DB? When not including the dbconnect.php file, the script shows me the loginform, even when I'm actually logged in to the client area.
  10. Thanks for the reply. We already use MediaWiki, but would rather have the wiki inside WHMCS. To day, we have different loginsystems for: - Wiki - WHMCS - Exchange (Active Directory) - cPanel - MODx - LiveZilla - Password manager software The first three could be fixed within WHMCS Regarding my suggestions for the support, i created a different thread because it is allot of request... http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?p=205924
  11. I know it’s allot of new things in WHMCS, and don’t get me wrong. I love it. The only thing I have something negative to say about is the admin design and that we can’t remove the system information widget. So you guys have a 14 page PDF showing all the new stuff, and I can only find two things to complain about. But the core of WHMCS like the support needs to be completely redone. People shouldn’t need to use a half working plugin for Kayako. Or use a plugin for a internal knowledgebase. It’s this very basic stuff I'm missing improvements in, and I hope you can consider improving this before a v.6 version. Or create a plugin from WHMCS, that is supported and updated from your end. I have no problems paying for this, and I don’t think other users have problems paying for this either. Have basic integrated solutions in WHMCS, and use extra addons with similar licensing for all the extra good stuff
  12. Client Area: First of all: I love the new client side of WHMCS. It’s really really awesome. Admin Area: I just can’t see what’s the big new thing is? After some testing, I can’t really see what’s new. Where is all the big new functionality? I would expect to see something like: - Internal Knowledge base - Improvements on the support part of whmcs - Integration with Active Directory - Support for multiple organization names and sites in one installation - A good add-on for Exchange hosting like the one for cPanel (direct from whmcs, not via websitepanel) - +++++ The first four have been requested allot of times for a long time on the forums.. Will we see some improvements of these first four useful futures later? But a side note: It’s great that you guys keep developing WHMCS, and it’s nothing better than new features. But I think it’s better to improve what’s already there instead of keep adding all this new stuff. The time used e.g. at the social networking part could rather been spent on improving the support system. The same goes for the widget part..
  13. I'm actually after the same. We have two "sub-companies" selling two completely different things. The only thing they have in common is cPanel, the WHMCS portal and invoices. What i need is the ability to install three WHMCS installations. I have no problem paying for them, so thats not the case. But they need to share the user, server, invoice and support database, but also work seamless with all three sites. Portal.com, Company1.com and Company2.com. Any ideas?
  14. We have a little problem. Our company is split in two: Company1 And Company2. Therfore we have: Company 1 Support - support@company1.com Company 2 Support - support@company2.com The main company name is Company1, so therfore we have set Company1 in WHMCS Settings, Company name. The problem is when replying on supporttickets. The senders name will be: Company 1 Company1 support and Company 1 Company2 Support <companyname><support department> Therfore, we need to disable the function that inserts companyname in the from-field when sending out support tickets. How can we do that? By the way, It looks like the from-name doesn't have any function in the Email templates when changing supportmails.
  15. Ok. As i have no idea how to do this, I'll ask nicely the good WHMCS team, to share their code in the As I have no idea how to do this, I'll ask nicely to the good WHMCS team, to share their code in the clientarea.php, so i maybe manage to copy paste something to make this work.. It would be nice if I didn't have to pay someone to reinvent the wheels.. A reply from you guys would be nice? Or maybe one of you other people already have done this, and are willing to share?
  16. Hello, I'm trying to include out customers invoices at the front page. A quick overall info about their customer status, but i cant get it to work. {foreach key=num item=invoice from=$invoices} <Here i have some code to show the invoices> {foreachelse} No results {/foreach} If i pase this code in clientareainvoices.tpl file, it works. But when i try to have it in the homepage.tpl file, i get the "No results" error, as defined if there are no invoices to show.. Any ideas?
  17. Anyone? Maybe I should submit this as a bug, because it shouldn't be there..
  18. I have a problem with the invoice template. It adds stuff that i dont want there, and i cant seen to customise it. Can someone please help me? Description | Price <- This is how it should be, and you can see the fault here: And in the template, we have only added: $pdf -> Cell ( 130, 0, $item['description'] ); $pdf -> Cell ( 0, 0, $item['amount'], '', 2 ); $pdf -> SetX ( 10 ); So we do not want to have quantity or the @price How do we remove this?
  19. I need to change Reference Number to KID. I've done this in the Language files, and now I need to change the numbers being generated. I want the Reference Number to be: (ClientID)(InvoiceNumber) Example: Client ID: 1567 Invoice number: 3648 ReferenceNumer/KID: 3648 I know this is easy to do if I just write <p>KID {$invoiceid}{$userid}</p> But then I need to remove the Reference Number field. I use the "Offline Payment" option in the billing system, and all the fields defined there is: Bank Name: Payee Name: Sort Code: Account Number: Not Reference Number witch is directly underneath. Strange.. I also need to display the package ID (the unique package number) on the invoice. How can I to this? EDIT: Actually codes like {$total} don't work when adding info to the payment gateway
  20. Hello. I want to stop all the email notifications on new order, cron/enom notification and so on. How do i stop this? Now after a testing period of two weeks, i have 82 mails in my inbox, and they are all from WHMCS. I dont want this, as we always go inside WHMCS to see if there are any new orders. How do i turn it off?
  21. Hello! I got a problem with the ticket system. When a user send a mail to e.g support@myservice.com and use æ, ø or å in the message, the special chars changes in to '?' marks. But when a customer replyes on a ticket, all the chars works fine. Its just the opening mail. Is this a bug? If its not, how can i fix it? I use UTF-8 in my system. Its also strange, that when the user get a reply that i ticket has been updated, all the chars works. But when i view the ticket in WHMCS, all the chars has changed in to question marks.
  22. Hello! I am trying to make my own theme to WHMCS, but all i get is a blank page. I have redon the whole theme from a template twice, and still got a blank page. Could any of you guys take a look and maybe guide/help me in the right direction? So far, i have customized header.tpl, homepage.tpl, footer.tpl and style.css. Do i need to edit more? All i am trying to do is getting the front page correct as a start. header.tpl homepage.tpl footer.tpl style.css I know the CSS is kinda big, but its just copy paste to test the whole thing Thanks, Keksi
