  1. It seems the Plesk API can't cope with admin users having long passwords. If your Plesk admin user has a long password >14 characters try shortening it.
  2. If I offered hosting pricing in three currencies, & a client bought hosting using a non default currency, would the price they pay at the outset be the same price they pay from month to month? In other words, will exchange rate fluctuations change what they pay from month to month?
  3. Thanks for the link John but this information was available prior to switching to FastCGI, I'll dig deeper into the link you've posted though, might give me some clues
  4. Well it looks like I've solved the problem with the error messages by setting the PHP session.save_path to /tmp, but still have the problem of Server Load & Uptime not showing properly
  5. I've just reconfigured my Apache server to use FastCGI using the instructions on this website and am now getting the following errors at the bottom of WHMCS pages Warning: Unknown: open(/var/lib/php/session/sess_iqbm3h0p2v15pe7emd23lhgo76, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in Unknown on line 0 Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/var/lib/php/session) in Unknown on line 0 I also note that on my server status page Server Load is unavailable & Uptime is showing all zero's Anyone any clues?
  6. Sorry to bump this but..... £0.19 GBP for the first 59 days Does no-one else see this as a problem?
  7. Hi all, I'm trying to set up prorata payments, my understanding of these is that a customer would pay a fraction of the first month's fee depending on when they sign up, they would then pay the full fee from a given date. Whatever I set up, it seems that they're being charged a pro-rated amount PLUS a full month's fee. However I change the prorata dates I can't get round this. Is this normal in WHMCS? If I were a customer I'd be pretty upset at being charged more than the quoted monthly fee More info - In WHMCS - Prorata billing enabled Prorata date 26 Charge next month 25 When ordering product through WHMCS - Product cost 19p Prorated to 26/12/09 Recurring 20p monthly This is what shows in my Paypal account when paying for it - £0.19 GBP for the first 59 days Then £0.20 GBP for each month It loos like I'm getting 2 months for the price of 1, is this a bug or have I gone wrong somewhere?
  8. Hi all, I'm sure I've got everything set up right, but on my 1st test purchase the user account was set up ok, money taken ok, but the hosting account could not be created on the Plesk server, the error being '1001 - Login is incorrect.' I've verified that the username / password I've set up in the Server config is correct (Plesk button there takes me to the admin CP) What am I doing wrong? Thanks for looking
  9. Thanks, I'll try that, but was led to believe I wouldn't need to delete articles before a category was removed - 'Are you sure you want to delete this knowledgebase category? This will also delete all articles in this category.'
  10. Hi all, Still testing WHMCS & I've created a few knowledgebase articles, one of which I've now removed but is still showing up in the 'Most Popular Articles' section. Is there any way to permanently remove it? Thanks for looking
  11. Thanks for all replies so far, just one final question. I've set up a 'Website Payments Standard' Paypal account, but what payment gateway should I use in WHMCS, 'Paypal' or 'Website Payments Pro'?
  12. Ah, understood. I'm looking at the problem the wrong way round
  13. Hi, I'd like to set up a system where the load is spread across multiple servers, in that Server A would host web sites, Server B would host email & Server C would host MySQL databases. Can WHMCS be set up in such a way to make this possible? In other words, when a client signs up WHMCS will set up their hosting on Server A, any email accounts the client sets up will be on Server B & any databases set up will go on Server C Thanks for looking
  14. I've just ordered a 15 day trial of WHMCS but can't find anywhere to actually download the software
  15. Thanks for the reply, can I not use Paypal's Website Payments Standard product?
  16. Hi all, Planning on signing up to WHMCS in the near future, but not sure what type of Paypal account I'd need to set up to accept payments, choice seems to be Web Payments Standard / Pro or Express Checkout. What would be the right one for WHMCS (if there is a right one) Thanks for looking
