Hi John, Thanks for the reply. I guess my issue is my name servers managed in WHM are provided by the hosting provider so I can only host domains that are purchased with hosting. If a client decides to only by a domain by itself but left the deafult name servers, I would not be able to use my cutstom (WHM) servers. I know I could use netearthone DNS servers an even probably use a cname so they look like my own, but if I use these as my defaut nameservers then I will have an issue when someone buys a domain with hosting! I can't see a way to get around this unless I only allow domains to be purchased with hosting. Can WHMCS be setup to only allow domains to be purchased with hosting. Perhaps someone else has another solution if using two different providers for hosting / domains. Thanks IcedGoblin

Hi all, I have searched the forums and found many interesting articles but none that completely answer my problem. I am new to the whole web hosting / domain reseller scene and would really appreciate some advice from some more wiser and experienced individuals. I have a reseller account setup with a UK company and have been allocated custom nameservers. I configured WHMCS for the hosting side of things and then figured it would only make sense to resell domains and acept transfers too. After reading posts in this forum and others, I decided to go with Netearthone. I have managed to setup WHMCS to intergrate with Netearthone but have not tested this yet but see no reason why it should not. The main reason for posting is around DNS managment. Am I correct in assuming that there is currently no way for clients to manage DNS records from within WHMCS or their Cpanel. (Apparantly version 11.25 of cPanel will allow this but who knows when my host will upgrade and I would prefer to use WHMCS if possible) Can I use my custom name servers for domains purchased from netearthone or do I need to use netearthone's servers and have all my clients manage DNS through a supersite or NEO control panel or if I intergrate the API into my existing site. What I am really after is advice on how everyone else deals with DNS management as I am sure what I am trying to achieve is already being done on mass out there and people can advise me on best practices or workaround solutions! I got my license from a reseller, as to be honest before I got my reseller package I knew nothing about WHMCS! I am now trying to integrate my site and have the need to do this offline, on a MAMP server using the LOCALHOST address. I know you can get a dev license if you bought a license directly from WHMCS, but think that you can buy a dev license if you have a reseller license. Does anyone know how much this would cost? I know you can get a trial, but doubt, due to my lack of knowledge, that I would be able to intergrate my site in 15 days. I would also require it later for any additional changes I wish to make and test. Thanks in advance IcedGoblin
