  1. Any thoughts on this? Just for information, I'm using WHMCS to sell licenses - I'm not a hosting service provider.
  2. Has anyone used WHMCS WP Integration from WPMU DEV or WHMCS Bridge WordPress Plugin. I've tried the free version of WHMCS Bridge a year ago, while it was under Zingiri, the original developer and discovered it has been "sold" to i-plugin. I know Zingiri provides good support and even has a forum but I'm a bit skeptical about i-plugin, especially when the pricing for pro has changed to an annual subscription instead of a one-time license. I'm a WordPress newbie. I need to place WHMCS portal under my WordPress website. Single sign on is not required but may even be a security problem. The free version of WHMCS Bridge appears to do this well, except I found one critical problem - I'm not able to detect client ip address from the smarty template. The following returns the server IP address instead of the client IP address. $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']; I know the Pro edition is able to fix the IP address issue, but I'm not prepared to pay a yearly subscription that is more expensive than my WHMCS subscription, especially for my simple requirement. So I continued searching and found WHMCS WP Integration from WPMU DEV which is quite new in fact. I didn't notice this plugin a year ago. WPMU DEV has an impressive website but there's no free trial or free version that I can try. WPMU DEV offers a monthly subscription of $19 which works out to be four times more expensive than WHMCS Bridge over the period of one year. According to WPMU, I can choose to terminate the subscription after one month. But my experience with WHMCS tells me that I'd be forced to perform a major upgrade of WHMCs every 18 months or so due to security fixes. I'm concerned if the WP integration will break after such upgrades and I'll need to renew the subscription. In addition, Wordpress also needs to be upgraded regularly due to security issue! Note: I've not tried WPMU DEV's WHMCS WP Integration as there doesn't appear to be a free trial available? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  3. I'm using PHP 5.2 on Plesk IIS6, WHMC support told me to upgrade to PHP 5.3. I did that by replacing the PleskPHP5 folder with PHP 5.3 and, after countless fiddling with IIS settings, managed to login after resetting the passwords.
  4. I managed to solve my problem by upgrading PHP to v5.3. So it appears that the "Minimum PHP Requirement Changes" - http://blog.whmcs.com/?t=92179 is required for WHMCS v5.3.9!
  5. I tried this although I don't use 2-FA login, but it doesn't work anyway. For my case, I upgraded from V5.2.17. I'm getting the following error the first time I try to login after upgrading: Notice: crypt_random_string requires at least one symmetric cipher be loaded in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\includes\classes\phpseclib\phpseclib\phpseclib\Crypt\Random.php on line 234 My environment: PHP Version 5.2.6 System: Windows NT VPS117 5.2 build 3790
  6. Due to the security update, I had to upgrade from v5.2.17 to v5.3.9, can anyone briefly share what's the main significant difference between this 2 version? I know it's possible to see the complete list of changes in the release notes - http://docs.whmcs.com/Version_5.3_Release_Notes - but I just want the key points. Thank you in advance.
  7. Thanks. I just noticed that, I forgot that I've configured an auto filter to move those cron emails out of my inbox. It's tedious to move those emails everyday. - - - Updated - - - I've recoded my batch file (I'm using Windows) to check the wget response and send myself an email if cron fails. I'm going to do the same for pop.php. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/scriptcenter/en-US/483b7b10-5ccf-4581-8fe0-4d8b91f7af7d/need-a-batch-script-to-check-the-availabilty-of-the-url?forum=ITCG
  8. Since I started using WHMCS v4.11, I've encountered multiple issues with cron job. Sometimes, the cron job doesn't run completely. Recently, the cron job stopped after a custom server module crashed after I upgraded WHMCS - http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?51438-Reconnecting-to-database I didn't notice it until 2 months later. The cron job is a key point of failure in an otherwise stable WHMCS. Unfortunately, WHMCS doesn't alert the user if a cron job fails. Has anyone found a way to monitor the cron job automatically? Thank you.
  9. Any thoughts ont his? Today, I encountered a bug on 5.2 that sent a wrong email to my client.
  10. Many a times I configure an automatic feature wrongly, especially for newly created products and newly added WHMC feature, and an email that shouldn't be sent gets sent to the customer (sometimes multiple customers) causing much embarrassment. Is there a way to delay the email before it gets sent to a customer? I know it sounds like a crazy idea, but it will be useful.
  11. Yes, thank you for your suggestion. I'm now putting in knowledgebase articles. I've already removed the login and pages that require login - this will be a temporary measure...
  12. Hi, Has anyone successfully tried to submit a WHMCS website to Google adsense program? I got this message.
  13. I've lost track of the changes made to CSS but for description column, it's stored in the db as CDJ mentioned. Here's an example for my case: Send Unicode & Long/Concatenated SMS:✔<br><br> It's necessary to add <br> to make the row height the same for all columns. It's really a pain as I had to randomly estimate the number of <br> required for each row - I don't know if there's a quicker or automatic way. For productivity, I used an Excel spreadsheet, so the first column will be the feature description, the second column contains the tick and the third the <br>. It's easier to copy and paste entire columns using Excel. When I need to copy to the backend, I just remove the tabs generated by Excel using notepad search and replace.
  14. Hi CDJ thanks for replying. I've managed to get it fixed here - http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?71678-Template-alignment-issue
