I have the same problem, first and last name dont mean anything to my bookeeper and when it comes to process hundreds of mostly Unpaid invoices, the company name would be a bless on the grid.

Hello Craig, Were you able to implement it with the least security? I'm in the same situation, with a few hundred invoices to send and only yesterday I noticed that the client has to be logged in to view and print the invoice,. That will put a drag on my process as I will receive a lot of complaints, cause Im migrating from a system that would send the invoice straight into their mailboxes. I know I can send a pdf to them, but the pdf wont link to the payment gateway we use, so they have to get to the invoice inside the browser to be redirected. If you have accomplished it and can provide me with instructions I'd really appreciate it. Thanks! Eder

Hi, I was wondering if I place an order for a client with a due date for 30 days later and the invoice email template is deactivated at the time I place the order and a few days later I activate it again, will the cron job send the invoice to the client before the due date or he will then only get the first invoice overdue e-mail? Thanks for your help! Eder

Hello I need to retrieve the order's Client Name instead of Product Name under Your Referrals on Affiliate details. If it is a simple procedure can anybody help me? Otherwise, is there anybody who's got the knowledge to do so and charge me for it? I actually need quite a few small modifications like this one to my instance of WHMCS and someone who knows your way into it would be quite helpfull. Bellow is a mockup of the screen where I need the change done Any help will be greatly appreciated Thanks Eder

Recurring invoice date - Based on first invoice or product sign up date?

Thanks John! Now I'm good to go. Bye Eder -
Hi, I have learned that it is possible to pull a custom field value into an email template. How about the client's referral's name, as all orders placed in my instance of WHMCS have a referral. As I understand I'd need to query for the name of the referral before retrieving and displaying it in a template. Is that correct? and if that is so, how do I go about to do that? As Im not a coder, If the solution requires coding knowledge, I'd appreciate if someone could charge me a fee in order to implement it for me. Thanks! Eder

Hi, I'm having a really hard time to get my procuct properly configured, maybe you can help. I need to charge a one time only setup fee of 29 and quarterly charge 87. This is how I've set it up: However, the setup fee doesnt show on the generated invoice. I only get the 87 ammount. What I acttually want to achieve is that the client will pay 29 bucks for the first invoice and 30 days later he will be billed quarterly for 87 bucks. What am I doing wrong? What can I do to get the desired result without having to configura two products, one with a one time only fee of 29 and another one with a quarterly fee of 87 that will be billed 30 days after the sign up. Thanks Eder

That's it. I dont have time to setup a test account in order to find out, as I have quite a few clients to bring over to WHMCS. If I register a new client and order a product for him, the due date for the invoice will be the actual day + the grace period set under General Settings. If I manually change the due date for that first invoice, and the product is set to have the charges recurring every three months, will the due date for the recurring invoices be based on the new set due date for the first invoice or will it keep the same inicial due date before the change? If that is so, can I assume that recurring invoices are based on the product sign up date? I'd appreciate some quick input. Thanks! Eder

Hello, As it is now, the grace period for an order to be overdue is set globally. I have some products that need a short period as a due date and others I have to provide a longer period. Is is possible to set this somehow so that it can be configured per product? Or, is there a way for me to set a product to have its first billing date 30 days after the order, instead of an specific day of the month? Any of the two would do the trick. Thanks! Eder

Hello everybody. I'm discussing with a provider (coder) the best way to develop an extension to WHMCS. I want to make sure that he can get the best out of the existing API and do the least possible coding, keeping the application with a high performance and not coding functions that are already available through the API. Before we go deep into this I need some short guidance. 1 - I need to create a new tab under Billing -> View transaction list, containing a control that will enable me to upload a txt file to a remote folder. Can I do such integration, and if that is so, is there some kind of template that will allow me the integration with the already existing tabs? 2 - After the file is uploaded I need a grid to show some attibutes of the uploaded/processed file. Is there a template for such a grid or I have to get it done from the ground up? 3 - When I click in a record (txt file on the grid) it must show me some details of that file in a second grid, which leads me to a decision I'd rather make using feedback from someone who might have done it. Do I go from the ground up or there's some reusable code/templates that will allow me to skip this part? I have attached two images that represent exactly what I need to accomplish. Please check them. Your feedback and insights are very valuable. Thanks

After a few more tests I have come to learn that Billable items cannot have affiliate comission applied to it. So I gotta setup the hosting fees as a product, and our billing occurs every two months. Therefore, stands the question as to how can I setup a product to have its billing to recurr every two months. Thanks! Eder Wainer

Hello all, I have a couple questions I hope someone can give me a hint. From what I understand, a billable item can have its billing cycle set to any interval I want, but the products do not allow me to do so. How can I create a product and set its billing cycle to every two months? My other question is regarding affiliates, as all hosting clients come from affiliates I just ran a test and signed up a dummy client using an affiliate id, however the client doesnt show on the affiliate's login as a referral. Am I proceeding in the wrong way? I have over 700 clients to migrate to WHMCS and I gotta be able to flag them as referral from my affiliates. From what I understood, new signed up customers are referrals, not products, correct? If that is so and I signed up through an affiliate's link, shouldnt it show up on the affiliates login, under Referrals? Any tips on how to proceed will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Eder Wainer

Hello, I have created a custom field for every product I registered and at viewinvoice.tpl.php I need to retrieve the field right in front of the product description, like: ProductName - CustomField Ani help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Eder

Yes, I'd appreciate some short instructions too. Thanks! Eder

Thanks! Ill ask for an estimate, as it would be a burden to manage multiple instances of WHMCS. Eder
