yeah, but man it would be handy to have a module that took your list of servers, and allowed the customer to choose.

So my issue... I have servers from all over the US. I'm not sure if this is possible or not. but I'm looking at allowing a customer to choose which data center they want. using all the same package. So I dont have to have 100's of packages. I can have one for cPanel, one for Plesk, one for Direct Admin. Is this possible? Thanks, ~Michael

I wouldn't consider it a marketing term. We moved from Virtuozzo/OpenVZ/Xen to Applogic. Applogic is Grid Computing/Cloud Computing. We were able to go from flawed server failures. To nobody knows if a server fails. I don't have to wake up at 2AM because i had a server failure. Now tell me that is not cool? I think Grid/Cloud Computing is the wave of the future. I think the people see that as well. Email hosting is starting to turn into a phone type situation. It doesn't matter what happened, it needs to remain up 100% of the time. I'm able to achieve that with Applogic. Were I wasn't able to achieve it with a single server solution, or multiple single server solutions. Just my opinion.

We have just released our new module version 1.2.1. We've added reboots to the front end, and reinstall to the front end. So now your customers can reinstall/reboot thier VPS's from the control panel. You can download the new version, and manual in the download section.

I think were Anthony was getting at, is you can work plesk into the application template, but you wont be able to allow people to choose their OS in that situation. If you want to allow htem to install Plesk, and choose their OS, they can log into the VZCC, and install it themselves via the template. They will be limited to 1 domain, or whatever it is without a license. So they will have to inquire about a license, then you know to charge them accordingly depending on the size of Plesk they want. The module has nothing to do with billing. It doesnt affect the way you bill. It's just a module that allows WHMCS to create/suspend/unsuspend/terminate give a paid bill, new order or none payment. Lets say your customer signs up. They pick which package they want, they put in their information. Depending on the module connected to that package depends on what the create function will do. In the case of Virtuozzo, It's creating a VPS. Not sure what you mean by your statement. Still need to bill the customer for Virtuozzo or Plesk? ~Michael

YES! We added in that feature. So when a customer is at the order form, they can choose if they want any OS loaded on your VZ servers. downside is, we havent found a way to make templates automated if you do that. So it will just be a base linux install. ~Michael

What screen shots do you want to see specifically? Server Module, Order page, Customers Product info? We have considered doing a one time pricing. but it makes it kind of hard to be able to support the modules this way. what if there is a major security flaw in the module. Does the customer get the update for this or does he have to buy the new module? So many variables is all. I will get some screenies for you. ~Michael

This is in the products and services product edit. Simple to use, If they buy a product like Plesk, You can put that into the Sample Configuration. Yeah nothing is set in stone yet. were still testing the market a bit. Were more concerned about Parallels than WHMCS. Parallels tends to change API quite a bit. from 7 to 8 was a new API 8 to 9 was a partial change in API. Depends on what your time is worth. If it takes you 10 hours to finish the module Is your time worth 10 dollars an hour? What about 40 hours? Is your time worth 2.50/hr? I keep telling Anthony mine is worth 175/hr. He just laughs at me... One of these days!

Were hoping to have a beta out on Monday(June 22nd 2009). Packages were going to try to make it so it will install given the option on the sign up page. On my page I have Control Panel (None, 10 Domain, 100 Domain, Unlimited Domain) So given 10 domain to unlimited, it will provision accordingly. This is in the works but not done yet. ~Michael

Just figured that out. This is what I have so far. 1. Setup the export graph feature in cacti. 2. rsync that graphs directory over to my billing directory (So you dont get "this website is unsafe errors) then i just follow the code above. I have not got the calculation stuff done yet tho. ~Michael

Anything on this? From what I see on the howto docs, it only gives affiliates the bonus one time. I want them to get it every month the customer is a customer of mine.

So, I offer my affiliates a reoccuring payment on people they bring in. So if a customer stays for 6 months, they will receive X amount per month that that customer is a customer. So every time the customer pays they get 20% or whatever. IS there a way to set this up? Thanks, ~Michael
