Hi there, I am looking for someone to develop a custom module to allow clients to organize their content to be used on new websites. This system would sort of work like a multi-page survey, but would allow them to save their work and return later. Each step listed below would be a new page/separated by a "Continue" button. The first step would be to ask the client which project they would like to work on. The page would list project titles and there would be a separate survey for each project. The list of projects (and their assignments to specific user accounts) would be maintained through the admin back end. Basically, some clients may have multiple web design projects going on at once, and other may not have any in which case they would see a "no active projects" message. The second step would be to ask the clients to define the number of pages on their size. Then, they would be asked for the title of each page. Step three would be for users to decide the menu organization. Ideally, they would be able to drag and drop the titles of each page to change the order and set certain items as sub-pages or sub-sub-pages (max 2 sub levels). Step four would allow them to define the content that goes on each page. There would be a dropdown list at the top to allow them to select which page they want to work on. Then once they select it, a TinyMCE content editor would appear (or a similar WYSIWYG editor) to allow them to write in their text content. There would also be a space for them to upload a file, and a "Attach another file" link to allow them to attach multiple uploads (like on WHMCS new ticket forms). In the admin area, there would need to be a way to see the results as the clients are working, along with creating new projects for the clients as previously mentioned, and deleting old projects. Please PM me if you think you can do this with a price estimate. Include your portfolio if you have one and contact info. Thanks, Jake

We'd also be interested

Yes, but we also need the client to be able to send files to the admin ( without opening a support ticket)

Hi there, Does anyone know of a file sharing module/addon for WHMCS that would allow the admin to post files for clients, and the clients to upload files to send to the admin? Thanks in advanced for any suggestions! - Jake

Yes, I would certainly be interested in this. However, why not develop it using an Asterisk-based system (PBX In a Flash, Trixbox...)? That would open the product up to a much larger marketplace. I personally would stay away from Invox because it appears to be an 800PBX company; we had 800pbx a while back and it was a very unreliable system, with 100% "offshore" support that was never reachable in the event of an outage. Their outages were frequent, and they apparently used their own product

Hi everyone, I recently stumbled upon a post from a newly-developed web hosting billing system on WebHostingTalk. The developer of the product claims that it is "better than WHMCS" (for lack of better terms)... Being curious, I tried it out, and was shocked to see how many basic features it was missing! I'm sure there's not much doubt in regards to the power of WHMCS around here, but for any outsiders considering WHMCS, I want to take a moment to express my thoughts on the software. The fact is that without it, my business would not nearly un-manageable with such a small staff! As any software that has been around for a while, whmcs has a very very long list of powerful, useful functions - there's literally an option for anything you may want to accomplish with your billing/support software (at least as far as we're concerned). Yet, it is also very affordable, has accessible support - unlike some mega-software corporations - and is easy to use for both the customer and the staff/admin. We tried other similar products on the market before we decided to keep WHMCS - just to get a feel of what's out there - and none of them could do everything we needed (at least without heavy modifications and custom modules). Bottom line - while I wish the best of luck to all up and coming software developers, we're sticking with WHMCS for now! Happy holidays! - An appreciative WHMCS customer

Also - another question - if we get a WHMCS-provided eNom account, does eNom support us directly or WHMCS (or neither)? Apparently, eNom refuses to answer any questions for customers who don't purchase directly from them...?

Hi there, We're trying to figure out how to set up WHMCS so that customers can register a domain from within WHMCS, using the eNom API, but then can log on to their RegistryRocket account to manage domain settings. eNom said that it's do-able, and that you would likely need your billing system to pass through a password along with the registration info upon purchasing - the password that the customer would us to log into registryrocket.... Has anyone had success setting up their system like this? Does WHMCS automatically pass through the password, or would some sort of custom modification be required? Any help would be appreciated!!

Hi there, I'm new around here, and I have some questions for anyone that has experience with using eNom and WHMCS... First of all, if one of our customers purchases a domain through WHMCS (which is set up to automatically register through our eNom reseller account), does WHMCS set the customer up with an enom retail sub-account, so they can log in on their own at enom.com? Or does it just register the domain? Also, we're going to be providing reseller hosting, and I've seen that many providers have an automated form that allows their reseller customers to automatically set up a free enom reseller account, and I wanted to know if there's some kind of WHMCS module for such a system... If you know of any pre-made script that can do this, I'd really appreciate you pointing me in the right direction! Even if it's not something that supports WHMCS integration out of the box! Thanks, Jake

Yea the icons that are included in WHMCS have some quality issues! Take a look at this function free icon set: http://wefunction.com/2008/07/function-free-icon-set/ Also http://wefunction.com/2009/06/freelance-icons/ Both free!

Hi there, I wanted to know if it's possible to use a different template for the shopping cart/order pages than the rest of my WHMCS suite (in v4)? I would like the order system to match the front section of my site, and the rest of the functions/sections (kb, support, billing...) to have a different design. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I wanted to know if anyone has ever created an add-on module that allows you to have "Send this article to a friend..." links for your knowledge base articles. I have found that many times customers call in with simple questions that are explained in our knowledge base, and my support reps usually just have to copy the link to the article and email it manually to clients. It'd be nice to be able to just click a link, type in the "send to" address and message details, and have the system send the article to the customer by itself. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jake K.
