  1. Probably related to the issue we all having with transferring - but with the error 'Required parameter missing: state' on the http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?54462-logicbox-domain-module-is-not-relaying-the-state-field thread
  2. I thought it would have been written somewhere, but I couldn't find it - though I wouldn't be surprised if it were a random string
  3. How exactly does WHMCS setup accounts in Resellers Club when purchasing domain names? Does it use the cPanel password as the password, the postcode, or it is a random string? Also, is it possible to order SSL via WHMCS, with Resellers Club yet?
  4. Typically though, I did another search of the forums and found that I had to enter something else into another box ... however, since this was originally ordered admin side complete with a hosting package, why wasn't it automatically done I wonder.....
  5. Can anyone help, I get the following error message when trying to register domains (a UK domain, using eNom) on a new install: An Error Occured User Defined Extended attribute: registered_for is required Not sure what this means, but nameservers are filled, reg period is 2 years, and UK Limited Company selected from drop down complete with the company number . . . eNom has funds in the account and they have the server IP, so can't be those.... Any ideas?
  6. Why not make it like a brandable affiliate or a brandable reseller? Brandable affiliate is simply that they can change the colouring, logo, and name/company name - and get what ever commission they earn (but you do the billing). You could then probably charge a one-off/monthly fee. Brandable reseller is ok too - you give them a cost price of your plans and they determine the retail price, coupons etc - all payments go to you, and they still get their commission. The system should be set up in such a way that they cannot sell below cost price unless their account has credit to be debited from. And from within it, they can change the header and the footer colouring, add a logo, etc - and the terms of use include their name/company name. Again, you could charge a one-off/monthly fee, but slightly higher since they can compete. You could even have brandable reseller plus where they can create their own plans and don't need to use yours. As above again, but with a slightly higher fee.
  7. Now what if they were charged an annual fee? The fee for hosting email services would be similar to domain email-only hosting (but perhaps cheaper as they could get fewer inclusive email addresses). This is kinda what I'm trying to get towards.... anyhow, sending spam from a free email address is no different from a client with their own domain on your server sending out loads of spam daily (surely). Naturally you would boot them from your server if they break your terms and conditions, the same would happen to free email address holders.
  8. I have a similar issue (but not with the client area - as far as I know anyway), but for me I am unable to log into the admin area with neither IE7 nor IE8 on my Vista machine.... Firefox works just fine. I think the last time it actually worked was about June last last year.... strange though.... Still get the error emails, but they list that no username was entered when it was....
  9. This is certainly something that isn't wanted.... if people have access to FTP then it defeats the object behind having an email-only service and gives them a cheaper hosting account instead
  10. If there is a common domain, those users cannot access cPanel - so WHMCS would have to store what email addresses belong to them, but can interface with cPanel to update passwords, etc. If they have their own domain, then since you know the domain, so you should be able to tell what account all the email addresses belong to (since everything is stored by domain within cPanel). The problem is, I'm not sure how this can be all listed when viewing a client with the admin panel, as that is where it should be stored/accessed
  11. Indeed - don't really want to be sending anyone to cPanel if it is on my domain, so best to keep everything within WHMCS I just wonder if it were possible to do this within WHMCS ... although I wonder now if it would be possible to get an up-to-date list of the email addresses setup from cPanel to show the client what they have within WHMCS (as they could order a domain and thus access cPanel to add new accounts, etc) - the current password would also be handy for updating passwords. It would be nice if all the accounts (and their email addresses) created under this appear within the admin part of WHMCS (so admin can change password, via quota, etc).
  12. I see no reason why not - it probably won't be the same domain that the actual company uses for everything, though the website for that domain could just show a simple page advertising the services offered if someone ever wanted to have one. ISPs have been giving away email addresses for years, so it can't be much of a problem, surely....
  13. Sorry, but I don't think I quite understand what you mean... Just to make it cleaer - I plan both myname@webhostcompany.com and myname@mydomain.com (but they could have any email address they want on their domain) based plans (obviously one is cheaper since there is no domain to think about), but the main idea is about letting them pay a monthly/annual fee to store their email on my servers.
