  1. i think what i might be after would be the add funds bit. this way i will only carry out tasks when an invoice has been paid. is it possible to pay a quote with added funds, or do i have to change the quote to an invoice then it will automatically be charged?

  3. Is there a way to directly link to a specific product group within the cart.php? Like the groups that show up in the dropdown at the top of product selection.
  4. Hi I'm going to have a lot of products in my product list, which customers select before going through to register then assign a domain and hosting plan to. The system works great, but I'm worried that the product page in the cart template is going to take up too much room on the page. See attachment for a rough layout of what we're doing. Is it possible to split the products over multiple pages? We don't wish to split the pages into groups with the groups / categories dropdown. We just need it when there's been 9 listed, it goes to page 2, and displays a pagnation at the bottom. Would this have to be coded with smarty?

  6. Not everyone uses WHMCS for hosting support. There are a lot of professions who bill by the hour / by the ticket. Web design and accounting are two I know are in use.
  7. Is it possible to charge a transation charge per processor? Eg, my clients pay by bank transfer or cheque. If they wish to pay by Paypal I wish them to pay the processing costs involved... I don't think there's a way round it?

  9. Hey WHMCS I've been using the WHM system for some months, and it's doing well. I'm a web designer, so all I use it for is support tickets and generating invoices. I am having trouble getting to grips with the recurring system and seek assistance. I have clients who have recurring items, such as hosting, adwords admin charges, ftp hosting. They then have variable charges each month such as adwords cost, design invoices etc. I've been unable to get to grips with the recurring invoices so until now I have only been using the invoice function to hand key each invoice, with each clients total services on each invoice. They way it should work, is that each clients recurring service (hosting, adwords admin, ftp hosting) is set up as a product/service, and they are generated automatically. My question is how do I get WHMCS to generate an invoice on the 1st of each month, for the previous months service? If I add a client through the month, I'll usually wait until the 1st of the next month to start charging them. Is there a way to add an order but the start date be the 1st of the next month? When I tried this before (I have read the manual over and over, but I'm practically not having any luck) the dates listed of the services kept being wrong (eg for the forthcoming month's service) which created mass confusion with my clients. Please help. I've tried looking through other posts, at the wiki, all I need is a bit of example by someone in the know. Thanks for your time Craig
  10. ah hello - i asked a similar question tonight (http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=13477) , as i can't find anything in the manual to instruct whm to do this. im sure there is a way, it's very powerful.
  11. is there a way to change the recurring invoice period? when my emails are generated the dates in the brackets are eg (18/8/08 - 17/9/08) when the due date is 18/9. i wish to charge the previous month's activity - where would i go about changing this?

  13. I wish to alter the main homepage link in the breadcrumb from index.php to clientarea.php All I can find is $breadcrumbnav in the header tpl. I wish to keep this as it seems to generate the breadcrumb - is there a way of editing it to acheive what I'm after? Thanks
  14. hey guys i think i've a problem with my whm recurring payment. im set up so the money comes out paypal each month for my licence. i went to log in there and it's telling me the licence has expired. this has happenned before, but i forgot as luckily i never needed in as urgently as today. as it's happenned before then started workign again, is it possible that my paypal payment is out of sync with the licence database or something along those lines? how do i go about fixing this? i need access to my data 24/7! thanks
  15. hey guys my install is at http://www.mydomain.com/client when i type "http://www.mydomain.com/client" in the browser it changes to "http://mydomain.com/client" why is it doing this and what can i do to make sure it keeps the full www. in?

  17. so im going about customising my whm templates, and i'd like to compare two files i've edited. do you guys know of a program that takes two files and tells me the differences in them? im sure i used an application like this before, but can't for the life of me remember what it was called.

  19. im setting up my whm to run as a billing and support system for my web design clients. i've set up the hosting packages as products and the monthly maintainance as products. im just wondering is it possible to easily add variable amounts as they're incurred, eg adwords bills, additional dev work etc so these appear on the invoices at the end of the month? would i have to set these up as one off products every time?
  20. hey guys despite looking through the manual and browsing the forums for answers, im after some human advice on where to start with whmcs. i run a small web design company, and we're using whmcs for automated invoicing clients for services (web design retainers, hosting and google adwords maintainance). our hosting plans are not linked into whmcs, we only want to use the billing functions. we also use it for support. my question is - does anyone have a preferred way of setting up these products? should i set each service up as a package, or multiple packages with variations of the service? i think it can be done a few different ways, however im just looking for a point in the right direction incase i put a lot of work in and have to redo it. thanks for your time craig
