I get the error as soon as i create the .htaccess file

When i put a .htaccess file into my public_html i get a Internal Server Error 500 error in WHMCS

Yes i have a ssl cert installed and active.

The only issue i have with this is when i put the .htaccess in my cron jobs stop working, as soon as the code is put into the .htaccess for redirect the cron jobs are gone. Is there something i can put in to prevent this happening?.

I have everything enabled, my customers get emails but for some reason i don't get ANY emails for new signup's , open/changed tickets or anything else. Im not sure if there is a port i should opend or a permission that would cause this.

I am having some problems wit the helpdesk on WHMCS , when a customer opens a ticket or answers one i don't get a email, also when someone orders a server we don't get any emails, is there something i must program so i do get the e-mails?.
