ENOM Registrations: Error: Invalid Client IP (not the usual RTFM)
Ked replied to Ked's topic in Using WHMCS
Ok, turned out to be a problem at ENOM's end rather than me going mental: "Thank you for contacting Technical Support. I'll be happy to assist you. I apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced from this issue. The error you were receiving was a bug in our system that should now be resolved. I have verified that the IP address, 85.x.x.x, has API access. If you have any additional questions about this matter, please update this ticket and I will be able to help you during my assigned office hours." -
I have the following IP registered for use with the ENOM API: 85.x.x.x This is the main IP of the server I use to make automated domain registrations. This IP has worked perfectly for a year or more with WHMCS and ENOM. Recently, API registrations are failing with: "Error: Invalid client IP: 10.7.0.81" I do not recognise the IP 10.7.0.81, it is not my server IP and isn't configured anywhere on my system. Do you have any idea why my API registrations would suddenly start failing with this IP? All help is gratefully received! Many thanks, Ked

This is possibly a dumb question, but how? if I log in as a client, the only way I can get near the cart is by clicking on "Order". If I click the "Shopping cart" link then it just takes me back to the order page. I can't actually see my cart contents unless I select another product and progress through until the 5th step (confirm morder). At which point I can see previous product selections but there's no option for me to remove / empty the cart of products I no longer require. Surely I should be able to edit my product selections without having too go through torder process again?? BTW, I'm using V4 but I dont think the core cart functionality has changed that significantly from V3

Thanks for that generic, the orders were failing with "Invalid Domain Contacts". I've manually registered the domain through my enom control panel now. My domain contacts look fine in WHMCS though, are there any known issues with WHMCS and ENOM registering UK domains?

I am using WHMCS 3.6.0 I added a new client today with a hosting account and an associated domain name for registration. Everything seemed to go through OK until I went to the Domain tab within the client record. Half way down the page it displays the message: "Registrar error Domain name not found". So I filled out the name server fields, entered the registrant type & name then clicked "Register". Double checked the info on the next screen then clicked "Yes": The next screen says "Success! Domain Registered Successfully": But when I click back on the clients domain tab, it still says: ""Registrar error Domain name not found". I logged in to my ENOM account and checked my list of registered domains but that domain is not listed. Anyone have any idea why this domain is not registering (even though WHMCS keeps telling me it is)? Thanks! Ked

Ok, I got this to work by doing the following: 1) Create an access hash key in WHM. This wasn't as straightforward as it could be as there was no obvious link in WHM to do this. Instead I had to enter a URL manually: http://<yourdomain>:2086/scripts/setrhash I then selected the hash and copied it to the clipboard. 2) Add the access hash to the server profile in WHMCS: Configuration -> Servers -> Edit the particular server Scroll to the bottom and paste the access hash in to the access hash field Bingo!

I'm also very interested in this. Our new site is going to be based on drupal and wew want to be able to offer a client login feature so our clients can manage their tickets etc directly from the main site.

The "login to control panel" link in Clients Profile -> Products & Services does not appear to work properly with my cpanel. When I click it it takes me to: hxxp://customerdomain.com:2086/xfercpanel/accountlogin Which is the WHM port / login URL If I manually enter: hxxp://customerdomain.com/cpanel or hxxp://customerdomain.com:2082/ Then I am able to log in with the recorded credentials. Is this a bug or am I doing something stupid ?

I just raised an order for a customer and prior to the account being created there are some order activation options. Amonst these are the option to specify the username and password for the Cpanel account. maybe this is a feature of the new version? This is the win for me - I am happy

At what point in the order process is a domain registered? EG: I have a customer how will purchase a domain and a hosting package. I would like the hosting to be autoprovisioned and the name to be autoregistered via my prepaid enom reseller account. I would like both to be provisioned when the order is placed. Now, hosting products have the following options: Automatically create the account as soon as an order is placed (which is what I have selected) Automatically create the account as soon as the first payment is received Automatically create the account when you manually accept a pending order Do not automatically setup this account I noticed the same is not true for the domain registration function. This leads me to wonder when the domain is provisioned, is it when the order is place, when payment is received or something else? I'd also like too know if this is configurable?

Is it possible to Synchronise Billing area and Cpanel passwords when the customer first signs up? We pick up a lot of "refugees" from other providers and they generally want to keep their existing credentials. It also makes it a lot easier for the customer if they only need to remember 1 password. For example: I have a customer who's transfering over from another host. He has agreed a password with me in advance. I would like to be able to register him in WHMCS, have WHMCS autoprovision the hosting package and the domain renewal and then email the details and invoice to the customer. Now WHMCS does all of this flawlessly but: My customer ends up getting a notification of a different random password, he then gets all confused (as customers do) when I explain that it was an automated mail and that I will be changing it manually back for him. I would love to be able to just register the customer, specify a single password at registration, select his services then go and make a cup of coffee while WHMCS does the whole thing for me I realise there can be issues with customers choosing weak or inappropriate passwords but this is something we generally correct if we have to and is not our main concern. Hi Matt, I have the same query as whatcomweb. I have raised a new order against a client account in the admin area. I click "Change Order Process" and tick "send No order confirmation" and "Don't generate Invoice". I select "Domain Registration" then select "I want to transfer my domain to XXXX Ltd" I then enter the domain name. When I click continue nothing seems to happen it just stays on that screen. This is pretty much the final factor in selecting the product. As long as I can add my existing ENOM registrations then I will purchase WHMCS. Regards, Ked
