I've got this problem with the WHMCS WHOIS, with IDN's to be exact. When i'm using the WHMCS WHOIS and try to search äch.de as a result i get that the domain name is not avaible. But when searching the denic.de WHOIS i get the domain to be avaible. I've trie multiple things without success, enabling/disabling IDN support without luck. I've submitted also a WHMCS ticket but yet no answer (there will be an answer but it's quite urgent).
The only resonable solution for now I've thought about was changing the WHOIS lookup method with overriding the whoi.json file but i cannot manage to find a provider that will work properly. Any suggestions for a new WHOIS lookup service?
