Yes. You dont need any addon. Just check docs page of whmcs.

Cron job email sending failed

Thank you. Issue resolved via support. I changed email account and everything started working again. -
I am using SMTP connection for sending WHMCS emails. Sending of all other emails are normal except cron job emails. Cron job runs fine but do not send email. I receive following error in logs: Admin Email Notification Sending Failed - PHPMailer Exception - SMTP connect() failed. (Subject: WHMCS Cron Job Activity)
